This error code in Minecraft is usually due to graphics driver issues, missing DLL files, or even conflicting driver issues. Likewise, it is an error that can occur simply due to installing an incompatible version of the game. So, what are the best workarounds for it? Well, consider reading till the end to find out.

Minecraft GLFW Error 65542: How to fix it –

Update your graphics card drivers –

A fix that you can follow is to update your graphics card drivers. Likewise, having outdated GPU drivers may be the cause of this error code. You can update your drivers by going to the Device Manager in your Control Panel. Then, double-click on the Display Adapters option. You can now right-click on your primary graphics card, and select the Update driver option. Alternatively, updating GPU drivers via your GPU manufacture’s website is also a good idea.

Download the missing OpenGL32.DLL file –

You may be facing this error code due to a missing DLL file- OpenGL32.DLL. In this case, you can fix this error code by manually downloading this missing DLL file from here and adding it to this folder path: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-16.0.2\bin. Alternatively, you can also restore any missing DLL files automatically by using a third-party program.

Uninstall your DisplayLinkUSB graphics driver –

Another fix that you can follow is to uninstall your DisplayLinkUSB graphics driver. In order to do this, you can simply go to the Programs and Features option of your Control Panel. Next, you can find and select DisplayLink Graphics Driver from the list. After doing so, right-click on it and click on the Uninstall option. You can follow the prompts to uninstall it and restart your system.

Install a different version of Minecraft –

A fix that you can also follow is to install a different version of the game. Likewise, your current version of the game may be incompatible with your system. In this case, you can simply open the Minecraft Launcher and Click Install on a different version.
