It feels like these past few years have been nothing but great for both CRPG and Soulslike fans. With Baldur’s Gate 3 getting recognized as one of the best releases of 2023 and Elden Ring’s highly anticipated DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, releasing next year in 2024, it’s a good time to be a fan of these two genres. This is especially true for Soulslike fans who have already gotten amazing releases like Lies of P, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, and most recently, Hexworks’ Lords of the Fallen, in 2023 alone. Released on October 13, 2023, LoTF is now available for current-gen consoles along with Windows PCs. Many have already embarked on their journey to defeat the demon god Adyr, and more are sure to come as Hexworks devotes its time to fixing the numerous performance issues currently plaguing the game. On this treacherous journey of yours, you will come across one too many enemies that will not hesitate to beat you to a pulp. That’s why you should stock up on items and abilities whenever you can. And one of the many places where you can get that is the Inferno Shop.
Every game, no matter how hard or easy it might be, has certain designated locations where you can rest, buy wares, or just spend some time away from all the violence. In Lords of the Fallen, one such place is the Inferno Shop. But the game doesn’t give you its location outright. It’s a Soulslike game after all. Suffering is the name of the game here. Luckily for you, by the end of this guide, you will know everything that there is to know about unlocking the Inferno Shop in-game.
Lords of the Fallen (2023): How to Unlock The Inferno Shop
You can’t just run mindlessly and expect to find the Inferno Shop. In fact, you need to get a certain item before you try to find the shop. So, start by finding this item first.
Getting the Searing Accusation
The Searing Accusation can be found down the road from Vestige of Chabui. Go down the stairs and take a right. Continue on, and eventually, you will come across a ladder. Use it and get to the lower levels. Once you are in there, switch to your left and keep going straight. After a few steps, you will see some wooden platforms hanging from a rope. Jump on those and keep going. Lastly, you will see a broken bridge. Use the wooden platforms to jump across the broken bridge and continue walking/running forward. Sometime later, you will come across another small ladder. Use it to climb up and keep going until you find yourself in front of an elevator. Interact with the elevator and ascend.
You are now halfway on our path to finding the Searing Accusation. Once the elevator reaches the top, take a right and keep running on the stone bridge. Take a right when you have the option of going straight or right. After walking or running for a while, you will once again come across two paths. One straight ahead and one to your right. Take the right one, and this time use your lantern. Continue going straight, and then jump down when you see the platform below. Now, the only way to go is left, but the path to get there is broken. So, once again, take out your lantern and walk across to the left platform. As you walk ahead, you will eventually come across a junction. Head to the left path towards the bone bridge. Just in the middle of this bridge, you will be able to get the Skyrest Bridge Key by using Soulflay.
Once you have the Skyrest Bridge Key, continue on, and you will get to see yet another junction. Head left, jump across the rubble, turn right, and there will be a door in there. Open it using the key you got before and head inside. Just at the end of the bridge inside, there will be a small platform and a Soulflay point. So, use your Soulflay and jump down. Now, turn around, and there will be another Soulflay point. Interact with it, and when you turn around, you will see yet another Soulflay point. Interact with it too, and this time the platform you are standing on will move forward. Just at the end, there will be a small ladder that you need to use to head upwards. After climbing up, keep going straight on the bridge, just towards the hall. Go to your left and pan your camera up. There you will see a Soulflay point. Interact with it, and then go back to the bridge. This time, take a look to your right, where you’ll find another ladder. Use it to get to yet another small platform. Now, turn to your right and interact with the Soulflay point. Doing so will open up the closed door just straight ahead of you. Now, you just have one last Soulflay point left to interact with. And it’s inside this newly opened room. Use your soulflay, and you will finally get Searing Accusation at long last.
After getting the Searing Accusation, get back to the hall from before and take the long set of stairs. Once you reach the top, take a look to your right, and there you will find the Tortured Prisoner. Approach and interact with him to select the “Hand over Searing Accusation” option.
Get to the Inferno Shop
Finally, it’s time to find the Inferno Shop. After you have handed the Searing Accusation to the Prisoner, find a Vestige nearby and take a rest there. Next, she will open up the Inferno Shop location, just where you fought the Pieta boss on the Skyrest Bridge.
If for some reason you forgot the directions to the boss fight, teleport straight to the Vestige of Ethryg. Next, head over to the path located in front of you. At the end of this path, there will be a set of stairs. Keep going to the left and then eventually you will come across yet another set of stairs. However, these are long spiraling stairs. You just need to continue on these stairs until you reach the top. Exit the area to get to the location of the Pieta boss fight. Now, just walk ahead and right near the doorway, and you will find the Tortured Prisoner. Just interact with her and she will give you access to the Inferno Shop. While finding the Inferno Shop isn’t hard, it is certainly a long process. Like any other shop in the game, you can Purchase, Sell, and even Talk with the shop owner, i.e., Tortured Prisoner.
