We had some exciting news in January 2020 that Log Horizon will air their third season in October 2020. With the recent announcement of the selected anime series continuing production after the lifting of the emergency status in Japan, this is certainly a respite from the various waves of delays for many anime productions originally scheduled for Spring and Summer this year.
The latest, long-awaited third season for Log Horizon’s favourite fans has now been a victim of delays due to concerns about COVID-19 exposure for production staff. Reporting from Crunchyroll, Monday (15/6), the series titled officially Log Horizon: Roundtable Collapse has been postponed until January 2021.
To make up for the delay, the official website and Twitter have also been updated with new key visuals, which can be seen below.

Synopsis of Log Horizon
One day, tens of thousands of players – Adventurers – are trapped in the world of the popular online game, Elder Tale! People are confused in a different world where monsters and magic exist realistically, and the adventurous city, Akihabara, descends into chaos.
A young man, Shiroe, who was not familiar with people, was one of the adventurers and decided to form a “Log Horizon” guild with his party, Akasuki, and Nyanta.
In addition, he called for the adventurous unit to use his own wisdom as a weapon, launch his own government body “Round Table Conference”, and restore peace and stability to the city.
Centred around the Round Table Alliance, interactions with the game’s original inhabitants, The Earthlings, have begun with adventurers, aristocrats, merchants, citizens all working together to achieve diplomacy.
However, adventurers only have one year of “catastrophe” that has been blown from a different country. Akihabara, who had enjoyed rapid prosperity, had to deal with a new species of monster “Tenwazawai” which was attacking cities and aristocrats from east and west who were fighting each other. The flames of discontent continued to burn between the guilds, with the struggle for power, differences, and speculation that occurred between adventurers.
Finally, the crisis will come to the round table, a symbol of unity with the adventurers …
