When are we going to see Monster Hunter Rise release on consoles like PlayStation and Xbox? This is the question we currently have on our mind, is not it? Monster Hunter Rise was originally slated to be a Nintendo Switch timed exclusive, but now we have the PC version as well. So can we expect a console release for the game as well?

Before coming to the question, let us see what Monster Hunter Rise is. There are a lot of us who have zero idea about the game. Monster Hunter Rise is the sixth entry into the Monster Hunter series and is a heavy all-action with some role-playing features game. The game will let players play as hunters with the main objective of either killing or capturing various types of monsters.

Monster Hunter Console Release Date

Though it is the sixth instalment in the series, developer and publisher Capcom has done a tremendous job regarding the game. No doubt it has become the second bestselling video game of the series! Currently, the game is available for Switch users only, but we now know that we will have the PC version on 12th January 2022. And the demo version is out as well!

Coming back to the topic, can we expect the console version of the game. Keep in mind that though the game was earlier a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch, we will have a PC version of it. So the release of the console version is a big possibility. Here is everything you need to know –

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT PLATFORMS FOR MH RISE?

Currently, MH Rise is available for Nintendo Switch users only. The game was released back on 26 March 2021 for Switch. If you have questions about which Nintendo Switch version is compatible with the game, do not worry. MH Rise is compatible with every Switch version, including Switch Lite. It will available for both online and offline play.

WHAT ABOUT THE PC VERSION OF MH RISE?

Though MH Rise was released as a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch only, the devs Capcom have decided to launch its PC version. This is because of the heavy demand of the players who have had hands-on experience in the game. The final launch date of the PC version is scheduled to be 12 January 2022.

For now, the demo of the PC version has already been released on 13 October 2021. So players can have their share of cake right now. The demo version will let you know almost everything about the original game.

IS THERE A CROSS-PLAY AND CROSS-SAVE SUPPORT FOR PC IN MH RISE?

The answer is no. According to the official website of the game, it is confirmed that the game will not launch with cross-play and cross-save support from other platforms. In a recent tweet, Capcom confirmed that these features will not happen anytime soon after looking at the developmental process. Monster Hunter World did not have these features, so this was expected.

WILL MH RISE BE RELEASED ON CONSOLES?

Capcom has revealed that there are no plans to release the game on consoles like Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 as of now. But given that this “timed exclusive for Switch” has got a PC version already, we can expect this to happen pretty soon, but only after the PC version is released.

Monster Hunter Console Release Date

We know that the PC version has the Early 2022 release. So we can expect the console versions to be released somewhere around late 2022 or early 2023. Monster Hunter World sold around 16 million copies across PS4, Xbox and PC. This means that there huge audience for the consoles as well! It is not out of the cards, we just have to wait for some time.
