Are you enjoying InZOI? This newly released life sim can keep you engaged for hours. But while you flow through time playing the game, your character will age as well. The question here now is, can you turn off ageing for your character? Well, many like yourself have asked this question, and here we are with all the details on this matter.
Currently, there doesn’t seem to be an option to turn off ageing in InZOI. Many players have searched through the in-game settings and even checked the official FAQ on Discord, but no clear toggle for disabling ageing has been found. So, what’s the deal here, and is there any other way to turn off ageing? Read till the end to find out.
InZOI: Can you turn off Ageing?
So here is the bad news. Currently, InZOI does not offer an option to turn off aging in the game settings. That is indeed a bummer, but the reality is that there is no built-in way to disable it completely. Many Life-Sim fans have pointed out that this is a staple feature with such games, with The Sims franchise being the primary example. So, the decision to leave this feature off of InZOI seems a little surprising. Still, with all the requests across online threads and forums, there is hope that this feature may be added in a future update. Also, don’t forget that the game is still in its early access phase, so developers are open to feedback and may introduce an option to disable aging later on.
Mods or Cheats?
You might have wondered about possible cheats/console commands to disable ageing or a community mod for the same. But sadly, that is not possible right now. Console commands may be added later, and so far, a mod for such a trivial feature feels a little impractical since they need to be reinstalled or updated after every game patch. So the options you have are a couple of in-game workarounds to battle ageing in InZOI.
Workarounds
One way is to start your Zoi at the newborn stage. Since aging progresses naturally through each life stage, beginning at the very start gives you the longest possible time with them. Another option is tweaking the Length of Day setting, which determines how long an in-game day lasts. Since ageing is tied to the passage of in-game days, extending the day length means each life stage will last longer in real-time. You can adjust this in the Game Options > Simulation tab, where you’ll find the settings. Choosing a longer setting won’t technically freeze ageing, but it will slow it down significantly, giving you more time to enjoy and develop your Zoi before they move on to the next stage.
That’s all we have for now on aging in InZOI! Hopefully, the developers will take player feedback into account and add an official option to disable aging in a future update.
