How to play Elden Ring in offline mode & start the game 1

Elden Ring is a game that has amazed the gaming community since its release. The game is based on an open-world theory where you can roam freely and progress through the story. The main elements of the game include crafting, horseback riding, summons, and most importantly, combat with various magic spells and weapons.  The game is mainly based on Online mode, but you can also try the game offline. Many people like to play the campaign mode offline and experience the beautiful graphics without any online content on the screen.

In Offline mode, you will not see the messages on the grounds that you would normally see in online mode. Though these messages improve the experience of the game, sometimes bad messages ruin the mood of playing the game. Some players like to troll others who are having a bad day, which can make the experience extremely frustrating for these players. So, if you want to have an offline experience of the game and play it at your own pace, then keep reading further.

Now follow the steps carefully and you will be easily able to play Elden Ring in offline mode.

  1. If you start the game without any internet connection you will get the message Failed to acquire parental control information at the beginning. Simply press the ok option under that message.
  2. Now you will get the heading Starting in offline mode with some messages below it. Again click on ok and now you will get to the main screen of Elden Ring.
  3. Here, you will find various options regarding your Game progress. Now you can simply click on Continue to resume your game where you left off or click on Load game to begin from a particular scene inside the game which you have saved. You can also choose New Game if you want to start the game from the beginning.
  4. You can log in to your game like normal by choosing any of the options.
  5. Now, if you want to play the game and start it offline all the time, then click pause the game and go to System at the bottom left-hand corner. The System layout will open with various options within it. Now, go to the Network heading in the middle. Some options will pop out below the Network tab. Go to Launch Settings at the bottom. By default, the option will be set to Play Online. Switch it to Play Offline and it will bypass trying to log in online. Save the settings now.

Make sure you save your progress when you log out. To save, you have to click on Options, then go to System. After that, go to the Quit game heading, where you will find the Quit game option at the bottom. When you click on that, you will be given the message to save the game and return to the title menu. Now, click on Yes to save the game. Though the game also has an autosave feature where it will save the game automatically, saving it manually will prevent any errors.
