Install Sea of Thieves from Microsoft Store
Here are some steps that you must follow to eliminate this issue.
- Sign out and Sign in again. Make sure that your date and time are set according to your area.
- Run Windows Store Troubleshooter (Follow the path to run it: Settings> Update and Security> Troubleshoot> Additional Troubleshooter> Windows Store Apps> Run the Troubleshooter)
- Clear store cache Using “wsreset” command. Simply type it in the search bar and run it as administrator.
- Update Windows 10
- Update Apps. Go to the Microsoft Store and update the apps.
- If you are still facing the issue, Reset Store app (Path: Settings> Apps> Microsoft Store> Reset)
- Run these commands in cmd for network related error while installing game
- ipconfig /flushdns (Hit Enter)
- ipconfig /release (Hit Enter)
- ipconfig /renew (Hit Enter)
- netsh winsock reset (Hit Enter)
- netsh int ip reset (Hit Enter)
- Restart your PC
- Run Powershell command to re-register store: Click on the Windows Start menu, then open Windows Powershell Admin, then paste the following commands one by one. After entering each command you need to hit the enter key.
- Copy: “Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}“. Hit Enter
- Copy: “Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}“. Hit Enter
- If you did not find a solution till now type the following commands also in Windows Powershell (Admin):
- Reinstall Microsoft Store: “Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage“
- Reboot your computer: “Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}“

- Here, search for Windows Update Service> Double Click on it (A new window will open)> Select Startup Type as “Automatic” > Apply> Ok. With Windows Update selected, select Restart Service option on the top left corner
- Now, search for Background Intelligence Service> Double Click on it (A new window will open)> Select Startup Type as “Automatic” > Apply> Ok. With Windows Update selected, select Restart Service option on the top left corner
