How to fix Sea of Thieves not installing from Microsoft Store issue?

Are you also facing trouble while installing Sea of Thieves from the official Microsoft Store? Click here to learn more about this issue and see how you can fix it. Sea of Thieves is a first-person action-adventure game published by Microsoft Studios. As this game is published by Microsoft Studios, it has been only released for Microsoft Products, i.e. Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S.

This game revolves around teaming up and completing a voyage in the sea by facing other thieves. Players have to survive and prevent their ship from sinking. However, players have been facing issues while installing this game from Microsoft Store. So, here is everything you need to know about it.

Install Sea of Thieves from Microsoft Store

Here are some steps that you must follow to eliminate this issue.

  1. Sign out and Sign in again. Make sure that your date and time are set according to your area.
  2. Run Windows Store Troubleshooter (Follow the path to run it: Settings> Update and Security> Troubleshoot> Additional Troubleshooter> Windows Store Apps> Run the Troubleshooter)
  3. Clear store cache Using “wsreset” command. Simply type it in the search bar and run it as administrator.
  4. Update Windows 10
  5. Update Apps. Go to the Microsoft Store and update the apps.
  6. If you are still facing the issue, Reset Store app (Path: Settings> Apps> Microsoft Store> Reset)
  7. Run these commands in cmd for network related error while installing game
    1. ipconfig /flushdns (Hit Enter)
    2. ipconfig /release (Hit Enter)
    3. ipconfig /renew (Hit Enter)
    4. netsh winsock reset (Hit Enter)
    5. netsh int ip reset (Hit Enter)
    6. Restart your PC
  8. Run Powershell command to re-register store: Click on the Windows Start menu, then open Windows Powershell Admin, then paste the following commands one by one. After entering each command you need to hit the enter key.
    1. Copy: “Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}“. Hit Enter
    2. Copy: “Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}“. Hit Enter
    3. If you did not find a solution till now type the following commands also in Windows Powershell (Admin):
      • Reinstall Microsoft Store: “Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage“
      • Reboot your computer: “Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}“
  9. Restart the following items: Type services in the Search bar. A new window will open.
    1. Here, search for Windows Update Service> Double Click on it (A new window will open)> Select Startup Type as “Automatic” > Apply> Ok. With Windows Update selected, select Restart Service option on the top left corner
    2. Now, search for Background Intelligence Service> Double Click on it (A new window will open)> Select Startup Type as “Automatic” > Apply> Ok. With Windows Update selected, select Restart Service option on the top left corner
