How rare are Zygarde Cells in Pokemon Go

Even after more than half a decade, Pokemon Go continues to be the top mobile game when it comes to the AR genre. And by the looks of it, that isn’t going down anytime soon. Over the years, Niantic has added a ton of new content to the game, some good and some bad. And Zygarde Cells happens to be one of the items that was introduced in one such content update. However, seems like a lot of players aren’t able to obtain these Cells as much as they like. Due to that many players are curious about just how much rare these Zygarde Cells are in Pokemon Go.

For the uninitiated, Zygarde Cells are obtainable items that can be used to change Zygarde’s form. Zygarde has three forms in total – 10% Forme, 50% Forme, and 100% Forme. And as you can guess by now, the 100% Forme is its most powerful form. Once you collect 50 Zygarde Cells, you’ll be able to change Zygarde to its 50% Forme, while 200 Cells will get you to 100% Forme. This is why Zygarde Cells are in so much demand, despite players being unable to collect much. So, just how rare are Zygarde Cells in Pokemon Go? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.

How rare are Zygarde Cells in Pokemon Go

Compared to some other items in Pokemon Go, Zygarde Cells seem to be quite rare. And the reason for that is due to how you obtain them. For the uninitiated, right now the only way you can get these Zygarde Cells is by using the route feature in-game that was introduced last year in 2023. Now, the chances of a Zygarde Cell appearing on your route are random, so a lot depends on your luck. When a Zygarde Cell does spawn on a route, it will resemble a shiny and small green swirl of sparkles.

Another main reason why Zygarde Cells are so rare right now is due to the fact that the routes feature is still being rolled out and hence isn’t available to many. However, those who do have access to routes, select one, head to the starting point, and follow along the highlighted route. If you come across a Zygarde Cell, tap on it to collect it.

From what the players have been saying so far, it seems like there’s a 50-50 chance that a Zygarde Cell will spawn on their route. However, take that number with a huge grain of salt since we don’t have official numbers for this one. For some, it takes a single route while for others it’s more than five or even ten. Moreover, it’s been found that routes have a cap of about 3 Zygarde Cells a day. So, all in all, Zygarde Cells are still very rare and will continue to be until the routes feature is expanded exponentially in Pokemon Go.

And that’s all the info we have on this matter. Additionally, if you want to know more about who’s the strongest Pokemon in Pokemon Go, take a quick look here. Lastly, for more such content, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: How to Follow Routes in Pokemon Go?
