GTA 5 Saved Data Could Not Be Downloaded on PS5 Issue: Is there any fix yet
This is not a new issue at all and luckily, we have a tried and tested method to fix it. To make it very easy for you, we have provided a step-by-step guide to fix this issue on a PS5.
How to fix it?
Just follow the steps given below and you should be able to download and load the latest saved data for GTA 5.
- Go to the PlayStation 5 Home Screen. Navigate to the top menu and select Settings.
- Scroll down to Save Data and Game/App Settings and select it.
- Choose the version of GTA V you are playing; in this case, it is the PS5 version
- Select Console Storage and then Upload or Delete from Console Storage.
- Before deleting any saved data, consider uploading your campaign saved data to the Cloud Storage (if you have PlayStation Plus) or copying it to a USB drive. This way, you won’t lose your progress if you want to continue the single-player campaign later.
- After securing campaign data (if needed), locate the Online Profile data within the saved files
- Highlight and delete the Online Profile save data specifically. You can delete all GTA V save data, but ensure campaign data is backed up if required.
- Launch GTA V. The game will treat this as a fresh installation and force the Rockstar servers to load a fresh version of your online profile.
- Also, Re-download Campaign Data (if needed) To do this, return to the Save Data and Game/App Settings menu. Select Download from Cloud Storage or transfer the campaign save data back from your USB drive.
- Log into GTA Online and the game should now correctly fetch the latest version of your online profile from the Rockstar servers.
Servers and Updates
If the method given above does not fix the issue, chances are that the servers are out and under maintenance. So, stay connected with the official Rockstar channels on Twitter, Discord, etc. for all the server downtime updates. Finally, it is also possible that you have a pending update for the game causing the issue so consider checking for updates as well.
