Whenever a new game is released, it is normal for players to encounter some minor bug. The recently released God of War Ragnarok is also troubling some players with several minor bugs in the game. Fix: Unable to Change Difficulty Setting Bug in God of War Ragnarok

You must have experienced this bug in your playthrough when after changing the difficulty settings, the enemies and combat didn’t become a bit easier to handle. This bug is quite annoying as you cannot increase or decrease the difficulty while being in the game at your convenience. But, you must not worry because there is a way to fix this problem.

To tackle this bug, all you have to do is to change the difficulty setting as per your preference, then change any other in-game settings, and then select them through the touchpad of your controller. Now, you can resume the game with the difficulty level of your choice. For some folks, pressing the “X” button after changing the difficulty setting has also done the job. You can try both of these methods to see what works out for you.

Moreover, if you are not able to shift to the “God of War” level of difficulty, then it is not a bug. You can only choose the “Give me a God of War” difficulty while you are beginning the game from the scratch. You cannot opt for this difficulty in the middle of your playthrough. Although it is suggested to play this mode only after you have completed the game in easier modes, it is completely up to you to make the right choice. However, if you are not able to tackle this bug using these methods, then you must patiently wait for a patch update from developers, which might surely resolve it.

So, this was everything about fixing the Difficulty Setting bug in God of War Ragnarok. If you found this article helpful, share it with your friends.
