What is summons in Elden Ring?
Simply put, summons in Elden Ring means calling forth spirits (ashes) of different creatures that’ll assist you in fighting enemies and traveling in the world. The ashes can be wolves, jellyfish, horses, and such that can be pretty useful if you know how to use them and their effectiveness in the game. If you’re new to the game, keep in mind that there are conditions of using ashes that might or might not work for you. With that being said if you’re unable to summon ashes, we’ve mentioned how you can do it in the game.
How to summon ashes in the game?
To get ashes to work in Elden Ring, you have to assign them to a slot and there are no restrictions on the stats for the summoning. To summon ashes, press the menu button if you have an Xbox controller and go to “Pouch” on the right side of the screen. In the slot, assign the ashes of your choice like Jellyfish, press Y on the choosing of your ashes and it’ll bring up the pouch menu where you can put all your items into it. Hold Y down and it will show the items that we put into our pouch. After that, if you see a gravestone icon on the left, it means that you can summon Jellyfish or Wolves or any ashes in the game.
If you wish to summon a co-op partner, you can use the Furlcalling finger remedy, however by doing this, you won’t be able to summon spirit ashes. Another thing that’s required to summon spirit ashes is a Spirit Summoning Bell and for this, you need to upgrade your FP quantity by increasing your mind attribute.
Keep in mind that if the area doesn’t support summons, then the ashes will disappear, and the gravestone icon will disappear at the same time. Stay clear of these areas and you’re good to go. You will be able to summon any ashes in the area as long as you followed the steps mentioned above.
