You start with hustling weed to various NPCs around the overworld. Now, if you want to be the go-to plug for all the fiends in the game, you have to make sure that you have all the popular narcotics stocked in your stash. This brings us to the issue that some players are facing where they are not able to unlock meth. So, is there anything that you have missed? How do you unlock Meth in Drug Simulator 2? In DD2, meth is highly addictive and the customers that buy it from you are surely going to come back for another hit. So, having it in your stock is worth all the efforts to unlock. The problem is, that many players are not sure how to go about unlocking. It involves a quest and for some, the distiller NPC refuses to interact with them, despite quest instructions requiring them to speak with him. Anyway, here is how you can fix this and unlock this highly addictive crystal.
Drug Dealer Simulator 2 Unable to Unlock Meth Issue: How to fix?
While there is no confirmation from the developers to flag this quest as bugged, here are some tips and workarounds that might help.
Make sure to do the quest correctly
To complete the methamphetamine quest in “Drug Dealer Simulator 2”, first talk to the guy in the hardware store about acetone, which will guide you to the moonshiner. Even if the quest still says to talk about meth, you can find the recipe next to Diego Herrera. After obtaining the recipe, gather the right equipment: use an electric pressure cooker or a laboratory water bath to cook the methamphetamine compound, then finish the meth using a laboratory oven. With these steps, you should be able to cook meth for your stock.
Progress further
Make sure you have progressed far enough to have the equipment needed to cook meth. More specifically, advance the story by unlocking more of the Slavs’ territory. This will provide better equipment for meth production.
Visit the pawnshop
One player mentioned a workaround that included visiting the pawnshop to resolve the methamphetamine quest. While doing so, make sure you’ve spoken to the pawn shop guy about ethanol, which should trigger a new task to talk to the moonshiner and further progress the quest to unlock meth.
Rise your Rep!
Another workaround is to first raise your status with Pedro in Callejon. Once your status is high enough, you’ll receive two voice messages: one from Pedro assigning your next job and one from Marcus informing you about the Moonshiner and providing the Ethanol clue. Use this clue to start asking people about ethanol, which will eventually lead you to the Moonshiner and progress the quest.
Finally, after talking to the Moonshine guy, he will direct you to a warehouse in the jungle, marked by a light blue shade on the map. Bring lockpicks to access the warehouse and speak to the guard inside. This should allow you to progress in the quest, despite the persistent quest marker bug.
