Dinkum is a small-scale indie game that is currently very popular. It has been released on Steam as an early access game. In its current state, it is rich with features and mechanics which make it unique and enjoyable. In Dinkum, you play on a large island where you can harvest resources from. This large island is surrounded by smaller islands that you can visit by swimming, using boats, or crafting a bridge. Placing a bridge is tricky because you can mess it up and lose out on using the entire bridge. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at Dinkum: How to remove Bridge.
Bridges are basically building structures that can be placed in build mode. Placing a bridge is complex and tricky since there is a lot that can go wrong. The islands are not even in their terrain and can offer very limited snap points between two points in different islands. To travel between these islands without the use of a boat will, however, require a bridge. If you messed up the placement of a bridge, there is no actual way to pick it up in the current version of the game.
Dinkum: How to remove Bridge?
Bridges are not buildings so Fletch cannot help with removing them. In order to remove a bridge, you will have to demolish it and recollect the resources it drops. This can be done by attacking the bridge with a weapon that will eventually drop the health of the bridge to 0. The choice of weapon depends on the material used to build the bridge with. The most common materials that are used when building a bridge is wood and stone.
Harvesting the resources from bridges of wood requires the bridge to be broken with a weapon like an axe. Once the bridge’s health hits 0, it will drop the resources that were used to craft it. These resources, once collected, can be used to craft another bridge and place it correctly. Stone bridges will require a metal pickaxe to destroy and harvest.
There is an element of randomness to the location the resources are dropped as well. Once the bridge breaks, the resources can fall in either of the ends or the middle. In case it drops to the edge, the resources can be collected easily. If it drops in the middle and there is a water body present, the resources can be washed away in the current. Unfortunately, there is no fix for this as of yet.
