2024 is going to be another exciting year for Dead by Daylight fans. With Alan Wake coming in as a new survivor in the game, along with a rework on a number of killers, it’s certainly an amazing time to be a Dead by Daylight fan. But one major thing that players have been waiting to hear about is the release of the Slipknot Collection in the game. And that’s what we will be focusing on in this guide.
In case you didn’t know, during Dead by Daylight’s 7th anniversary broadcast, Behaviour announced that it would soon be releasing Slipknot and Iron Maiden collections for players. That was last year, and since then, players have been waiting for the release of this collection. Both Slipknot and Iron Maiden are extremely popular heavy metal bands, so getting their collection in Dead by Daylight is something many fans are eagerly looking forward to. So, when is the Slipknot collection getting released in 2024? What’s the status of the Iron Maiden collection? Well, continue reading to find out all about that.
Dead by Daylight (DBD) Slipknot Release Date for 2024: When it will be available
While Behaviour might not have given out any specific release date for the Slipknot and Iron Maiden Collection’s release, there’s a good chance that it will be made available sometime early this year, in 2024. In a DBD AMA posted a few months ago, Rose Li, the Senior Product Manager of the Dead by Daylight team, stated this when asked about the release of the Iron Maiden Collection, among other things:
“The Iron Maiden Collection will be coming early next year, there will be a fill Collection of Eddies and they all look super cool ;).
Besides that, dvveet, a prominent Dead by Daylight leaker, suggested the debut of Iron Maiden and Slipknot Collections in an upcoming update, stating,
“Anonymous Mode has received a small addition, while active, [sic] Licensed music will be disabled. This *might* also be the update in which we will see Iron Maiden and Slipknot Collections. The two *May* be receiving licensed tracks alongside it.”
Furthermore, the departure of Jay Weinberg from the band in November 2023 also must have played some part in the delay of the Slipknot Collections since the set was meant to include unique masks for each of the band’s current members at that time. So, it’s more than likely that Behaviour had to remove Jay’s mask from the line-up, which only added to the delay of the Slipknot Collection.
Well, as of now, there’s a lot of guessing going around in the community regarding the release of the Iron Maiden and Slipknot collections in DBD. But one thing that’s sure is that it will be released sometime this year, mid or late 2024, if not early. And as such, for now, all we can do is wait for Behaviour to share some information on this.
