CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077 has finally got its first and last DLC, Phantom Liberty. Featuring Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, or, as he’s more popularly known by some, Idris Elba, there’s a lot to discover and do in this new expansion. At the same time, players are also encountering a plethora of bugs and other technical problems in the game. And this guide will help you deal with the “unable to spawn cars” issue.
Why, oh why, does the game sometimes make cars not spawn is a question that remains unanswered. But what we do have are some workarounds that will help fix this issue. So, continue reading to find out what they are.
Cyberpunk 2077 (2.0) Unable to spawn cars issue: Is there any fix yet
For now, players will have to try out the following workarounds, as CDPR is yet to fix this issue. While an official is yet to be released, these workarounds are your best shot at dealing with the issue:
Restart the game –
For some players, restarting Cyberpunk 2077 allowed them to get around this issue. There’s not much to do when trying this method. All you need to do is save your progress, close the game, and then launch it again. Do this and see if your cars spawn back. If not, consider restarting a few times and then checking again.
Reload save –
Another quick workaround that seems to work is reloading any previous save. While we say any, generally the one that’s closest to your current progression is much preferred. Why? Because it makes for less backtracking. Now, if this one doesn’t work, then try another workaround.
Go to Watson and save –
u/nonameintononame was kind enough to share their own workaround for this issue. This involves quick saving and reloading, heading back to Watson, making a quick save again, and then reloading that save. Try this once and see if the issue persists.
Steal a car and save –
This is an old workaround, but hey, if it works, then we’ve got no complaints. For this one, you just need to steal any vehicle. Once that’s done, make a hard save, and then reload that save. Get out of the car now and summon your own. If this indeed works, then use this method whenever you encounter this issue again.
Buy another car –
If you’ve got enough credits to spare, go ahead and buy another car. After that’s done, save your game. Go to the menu and then reload the recent save. After this, check whether the issue persists.
So, how did trying the workarounds mentioned pan out for you? We do hope that you are now able to continue with your adventure in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. But adventuring around in Night City isn’t an easy task to do. That’s why having a trusty and cool-ass weapon by your side is important. Killing enemies is fun in Cyberpunk 2077, but killing with something like a Thermal Katana is even more fun while also looking cool. Click here for more information on how you can get that weapon.
