Sledgehammer’s COD: Modern Warfare 3 isn’t really getting the reaction it hoped for following its release on November 10, 2023. The campaign being short and bad was a major factor in that, along with the plethora of issues players are facing right now. But despite all that, MW3 is still getting tons and tons of players. A clear reminder of just how influential the COD series is. Now, due to just how big the game is in terms of content, some are finding it hard to complete certain challenges and such. And this guide, in particular, will help you get toxic damage kills.
Getting toxic damage kills can seem quite hard, but in reality, it’s not. In fact, by the end of this guide, you will have learned everything there is to know about toxic damage. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and see how you can get toxic damage kills in COD: Modern Warfare 3.
COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Toxic Damage Kills: How to get
Players will see the toxic damage kills challenge exclusively in the Zombie mode, as it’s the only mode where you can get so many types of damage. Now, when it comes to getting the toxic damage kills, there are three ways to do that.
The first one is by using the Brain Rot Ammo mod. When equipped, this ammo mod will randomly inflict the Brain Rot effect on the target zombie. Once the mod takes effect, that recently shot zombie will turn into an ally and start attacking nearby zombies. From now on, whenever your ally zombie kills another zombie, the game will count that kill as Toxic Damage kills, helping you complete the challenge bit by bit, or, in this case, bite by bite. As for acquiring the Brain Rot Ammo mod, you can obtain it from Reward Rifts or from Aether Caches.
The next method is to use the Experimental Gas. As you might have already guessed, it’s an explosive, poisonous gas that does damage over time. However, due to the low damage, it can be quite hard to kill enemies with this alone. So, the optimal use of the Experimental Gas is to use it on enemies with particularly low health.
Lastly, we have the Elemental Pop Soda method. When equipped, this perk will give you a random ammo mod effect, including the toxic one. But due to its randomness, it’s not as reliable as the other ones. So, if you are going to use it, be ready to start praying to RNGesus and hope that you get the toxic damage mod.
