Sledgehammer Games’ COD: Modern Warfare 3 is going through a ton of issues right now, and there’s just no end to it. The latest of which happens to be the Kicked for Inactivity issue. Players from every platform are complaining about this issue affecting their matches, and as such, we have decided to put out this guide to help players like you.
As the name suggests, the issue here is that players are finding it particularly hard to play in matches due to frequently getting kicked out. Some believe it’s due to Sledgehammer making the inactivity timer short, and others think it’s a bug. Nevertheless, it’s something that has become a major source of frustration for many players and needs to be addressed ASAP. Well, that being said, without much further ado, let’s see how you can fix the Kicked for Inactivity issue in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, or if it is even possible.
COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Kicked for Inactivity Issue: Is there any fix yet
For now, you will have to make do with the following workarounds for this issue, as we are yet to get an official fix for it. Try not to skip these workarounds unless you have already tried one before.
Keep moving –
Well, the simple fix here is to simply keep moving so that the game doesn’t think you are being inactive or AFK. Try not to stand for longer than a minute in a particular place, and make sure that you are moving constantly. Also, steer clear of mounting your weapon for an extended period of time.
Restart –
If you follow the previous method and are still getting kicked out for inactivity, we suggest you do a quick restart of both the game and your console or PC. This should help you fix this issue for a while, and if it doesn’t, try out another workaround.
Stop camping –
As explained earlier, it seems like the developers decided to shorten the inactivity timer to combat camping in the game. As such, the best thing to do here is to simply stop camping and actively participate in active combat.
Update the game –
While we can’t give you a guarantee that this will completely fix this issue, we still recommend you update the game and see if it helps with fixing this issue. Install the latest patch, and if the issue continues to be a nuisance, try the next method.
Contact support –
If none of the aforementioned workarounds help you fix this issue, we suggest you contact support and have them take a look at it. Explain the issue thoroughly, and wait until they communicate a fix to you.
Other than all these workarounds, the next best thing you can do is wait. Since this issue is widespread, an official acknowledgement is expected to be released. But, since there is no confirmed information on the same, take this information with a pinch of salt.
