COD: Modern Warfare 3 is the latest addition to the list of poorly reviewed titles released in 2023. Thanks to a short and uninteresting campaign, coupled with a plethora of bugs, MW3 players are certainly not having a good time right now. Among many of its issues, the Custom Loadout Not Saving bug is a major one, and something a lot of players have been asking to get fixed.
As the name suggests, players are unable to save their custom loadouts, especially in multiplayer. The issue here is so bad that players are left with nothing but the default loadout to use. This is one of those bugs that highly affects the general gameplay experience, and as such, players are looking for anything to get this bug fixed. So is there a fix available? COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Custom Loadout Not Saving Bug: Is there any fix yet
For now, players will have to follow the workarounds mentioned below, as we are yet to get an official fix from the developers. Well, unless an official fix is released, consider trying these workarounds:
Unequip Hijacked IFF Strobe (Cold Blooded) –
Currently, the Hijacked IFF Strobe gear perk is bugged which happens to be a major culprit behind this bug. So unequip it and you should be able to save your custom loadouts. However, if the issue persists, try the next workaround.
Try playing Zombies –
Some players had success in getting rid of this bug by trying out the Zombies mode. We can’t say if this will prove effective, but you will never know if you don’t try it. Therefore, do so and if the issue remains, check out another workaround.
Delete all of your loadouts except one –
One particular player was able to resolve this issue by deleting all of their custom loadouts save for one. And this might just work for you too. Try this and if you are still unable to get rid of this bug, use another method.
Verify files –
Players can also try out standard troubleshooting fixes like the verification method. Essentially what you will be doing is opening Steam and then clicking on Library. From there click on the game and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Once the process is over, restart the PC and then launch the game.
Reinstall –
If none of these workarounds are of help, the only thing left to do besides contacting support is to simply reinstall the game. And since you will be downloading the game once again, make sure you have a speedy connection for the same.
