1.04 PATCH UPDATE – 25 Oct
Finally, the awaited title, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare rolled out globally on 25th October on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms. Many players have been enjoying the game since the beta release and with the official launch, they are expecting gameplay improvements and bugs-fixes.
Well, Infinity Ward has already released the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update which brings Patch 1.04 for all the platforms. With the new update, Infinity Ward brings some major bug fixes and improvements to the game.
The new update is already live for all the platforms – PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The new patch weighs 7GB in size for PC, whereas, on both console platforms, the patch weighs 1.8GB only.
Below, we have mentioned the patch notes for the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 1.04 update. As you will see, the new update brings a number of bug fixes only.
TITLE UPDATE – 25 Oct
- Backend fixes to help prevent against crashing across all platforms – if you experience a crash, please let us know
- Fix for a bug where players could earn more points when shooting specific vehicles while having Pointman equipped.
- Improved ADS while using weapons without scopes on Xbox
- In some instances, some players were not able to complete the Highway mission due to an exfil bug
- Fix for the “Best of the Best” challenge not tracking progress
- Fix for the “Elite Sniper” challenge not displaying the correct description
- Fix for various camos not unlocking during progression
- Fix for the unlock criteria for the “Double Cross” reticle not progressing past 4
- Fix for the description and requirements needed to unlock some optic scopes in Gunsmith

1.05 PATCH UPDATE –
Infinity Ward is rolling out another patch update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. After the first patch that landed on 25 October, this is the second patch that is rolling out for all the platforms.
The new update is live now and brings patch 1.05 across all the platforms. The new patch weighs 8GB in size for PC, whereas, on console platforms, the patch weighs 2.4GB for PS4 and 3.02GB for Xbox One.
TITLE UPDATE – 29 Oct

1.08 PATCH UPDATE – November 12
Infinity Ward is rolling out the new patch update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This is the fourth patch that is rolling out for all the platforms.
The new update is available now and brings patch 1.08 The new patch weighs around 3.4GB in size for PC, whereas, on console platforms, the patch weighs around 1.8 GB for PS4 and 2.4GB for Xbox One. The new patch brings additional tuning to weapons, more bug fixes, and some spawn system updates.

- More backend fixes to prevent crashes and improve stability across all modes and all platforms
- Fix for a bug where a player using the Riot Shield would not take explosive damage during certain situations
- Fixed an issue where the Riot Shield would stow on the players back when using Stim. (Tactical)
- Adjusted to always play walk footstep sounds when in ADS and crouch independent of speed
- Increased the speed in which you can remain using the walk footstep sounds by slightly pressing on the movement stick
- General fix for the UI and Challenge state getting out of sync. We’ll continue to monitor and make additional fixes as needed in future updates

UPDATE – November 15
Infinity Ward is rolling out a new update for the PC platform today. The new update doesn’t bring a new patch, but the update targets the bugs and stability issues. According to Infinity Ward, the new update not only fixes Dev Error 6178 but also brings fixes for cutscene stuttering and hitching.
1.09 PATCH UPDATE – 19 Nov
Patch 1.09 is live across all platforms.
- Special Operations: Fix for an issue where a player would see no objective after retrying a mission after spectating (Operation Paladin)
- CDL: Fix for rulesets in Search and Destroy where Field Upgrades were disabled
- Fix for an exploit where players could duplicate their killstreaks (“Fix for various exploits”)
- Fix for the “Blue V” Optic challenge not displaying the proper text description
- Fix misspelling of “trophy”
- Fixed a bug that could cause the filter on the respawn selection screen to stay on screen when spawning back in
- Fix for an issue where the Select Loadout screen would keep reappearing after already selecting a loadout and attempting to spawn back in

1.10 PATCH UPDATE – 03 Dec
The new update brings not only the new Battle Pass but also updates content in Item Shop, introduces new weapons, new MP maps Crash MP and two new Gunfight maps.

- Fixed an issue where players stuck inside the Infantry Assault Vehicle would not take damage from Thermite
- Fix for a bug where attempting to scroll to the bottom of the Recent Players list could cause the list to read “No Recent Players” and return to the top
- Gunfight (private match): Fixes ‘Win by Two’ setting to end the game properly once the conditions have been met

- Fixed a bug where the informant can be dropped in bad positions/near enemy soldiers in Operation Harbinger
- Added a checkpoint after the third hack on Operation Brimstone
- Fix for a bug where players could become stuck after going into last stand while breaching the trains on Operation Brimstone
- Enemies in white trucks now exit their vehicles
KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
- Leaderboards will no longer display complete gamertags. This should help higher profile leaderboards users from receiving too many invites
- Fixed an issue where players would not be able to mantle while strafing with keyboard and mouse
- Increased the turn-rate when aiming with a tank
- Adjusted the camera orbit turn-rate while driving a vehicle using keyboard and mouse
- The keybind “Vehicle Camera Recenter” is now linked to Melee by default (default on E / Mouse 4) and the re-centering of the camera has been improved
- Improvements for the camera transitions with Free Camera and Aerial Camera
- Added a Killstreak view option when using the Portrait List
- Added arrows under the players when using the Aerial Camera view
- Added a skull icon on the Minimap where players die
1.11 PATCH UPDATE – 04 Dec
The patch 1.11 update weighs 2.3GB in size on the PS4 and 1.6GB on Xbox One. And it is live across PC, Xbox, and PS4.
According to the official statement by Infinity Ward, the new update improves “Stability” in Ground War.

- Fix for the R9-0 Smoothebore not appearing correctly in-game
- Fix for the “Smooth Dominator” not appearing correctly in-game
- Fix for the “Heat Cycle” weapon not appearing correctly in-game
- Fix for a bug where equipping the “Old Wounds” LMG could cause an error, kicking players out of the menu
- Operator challenge descriptions have been updated to indicate that a specific Operator must be equipped in order to complete the challenge
- If you reached a new rank while in the middle of a match and perform the criteria to complete a challenge you just unlocked, progress would not show in the UI until you entered a new match. We’ve done some backend work to help improve this.
- Fix for Objective 2 of Mara’s Operator Mission showing a placeholder name ‘Desert Work’ for the reward
- Fix for Wyatt’s Calling Card appearing with the incorrect rarity

- Made some slight UI adjustments to the base and officer rank progression screens to both have similar designs

- Friend Request & Party Invite Notifications option will be set to Enabled by default after the patch. Players can disable that option through the Account tab of the Options menu

Added an Auto Move Forward feature for Keyboard and Mouse as well as Controller
- For Keyboard and Mouse, a keybind can be added in the Options menu via the advanced section of Move Forward
- For Controller, when this feature is enabled in the Options menu, it can be activated in game by pushing the movement stick forward twice

Classic Special Operations:
- Fixed a bug where players were receiving inconsistent amounts of XP
- Fix for rank up UI splashes no working as intended
- When using a Respawn Flare, no UI icon would appear on the minimap (Operation Harbinger)
- Fixed a bug where pistols were dealing too much damage against Juggernauts compared to other weapon classes
- In Operation Crosswind, nearby enemies will not become alerted if a player uses a rocket launcher, causing the player to not break stealth. This has been fixed
- Fixed a bug where players were able to go prone with the minigun if they get revived while having it equipped
- Added the reward players could earn if completing an Operation within the playlist menu
- Reduced the lethality of non-car explosives
- Adjustments to spawns for Hardpoint
Search and Destroy:
- Fix for a bug where the defending team could see the bomb carrier objective icon
- With the ‘Weapon Pings on Minimap’ option is enabled, the bomb carrier would not show as a red dot on the minimap when shooting their weapon. This has been fixed
- Added an in-game data view to display various stats
- Implemented support for Domination
PATCH UPDATE – 11 January
Infinity Ward has rolled out a new patch update for Modern Warfare. The patch is live now and brings a number of fixes to the game. Check out the official patch notes below.
- Fixes to a few glitch spots on Karst River Quarry that requires vehicles to access
- Fixed a bug that was preventing the “Mark 25 Enemies Using the Recon Drone” challenge from tracking properly
- When using a Trial Ticket to activate a Trials match, users could spend more tickets than required and lose unconsumed tickets. This has been fixed.
- If more than 9 players are Infected, the player will not have a throwing knife available after using a Tac Insert
