The latest entry into the series, Blasphemous 2, was released in 2023 and now some fans in the community have started asking about Blasphemous 3. Blasphemous 3 Release Date for PC, Xbox & PS5
Unfortunately, at the time of writing this, The Game Kitchen hasn’t shared any major information or announcements regarding Blasphemous 3 or its release. And it makes sense, considering Blasphemous 2 was just released in 2023. Over the years, game development has only increased in both budget and time. Blasphemous was released in 2019 and then, as we stated before, its sequel saw its launch in 2023. As you can see for yourself, even developmental time for indie games like this is big.
The release of Blasphemous was what propelled The Game Kitchen to overnight success. Since then, the series has become a favorite among fans of the Metroidvania genre. With its gritty and dark setting along with hard but enjoyable combat, the Blasphemous series doesn’t disappoint. And it’s especially a great game if you are someone who wants to experience something akin to the Dark Souls series in a 2D style.
Both Blasphemous and Blasphemous 2 received positive reception upon their release from both critics and fans alike. And fans expect the same thing with the next edition of the Blasphemous series. But when it will be released is something we are unaware of right now. Blasphemous received three free DLCs in total: The Stir of Dawn, Strife and Ruin, and Wounds of Eventide. With Blasphemous 2 releasing in 2023, there’s a good chance that it will also get its own major content expansion. However, The Game Kitchen has yet to share any details regarding this either. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say that Blasphemous 3 will not be released anytime soon. And the most probable time frame for its release is 2027, considering the gap of 4 years between the previous game releases. As for whether it will be released for PC, Xbox, and PS5, we are very confident that it will. Previous titles have been multiplatform, so it’s only evident that the same will happen with the next one. So you don’t have to worry about that at all.
