With Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora finally released, Massive Entertainment will now be focusing most of its developmental resources on Star Wars Outlaws and The Division 3. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, as you might have already guessed, is set in the Avatar universe and will tie into future Avatar films. AFoP is not a title that will revolutionize the open-world genre, but it’s good enough to give you multiple hours of fun. And many in the community want to spend those hours playing as a human in the game.
The world of Pandora is a constant struggle between humans and the native Na’vi. The former is there to extract whatever resources Pandora has, while the latter wants to protect their birthplace. Now, all the promotional materials for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora only feature a Na’vi as the main character. It’s because of that that some players have doubts when it comes to playing the game as a human. So, how do you play as a human in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora? Well, continue reading to find out.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora: How to play as Human (Male/Female)?
Unfortunately, you can only play as a Na’vi character in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. What’s more, you can only play as a set character with an already-defined background. However, what you do get is a pretty good character creator, including the option to choose a gender in the form of body type.
The pre-defined background of your character is that you are a Na’vi orphan. Resources Development Administration, or the RDA got hold of you, following which they raised and trained you to be a soldier. But that was fifteen years ago, and now you are a free Na’vi, one who is a stranger to their land. As evidenced by that brief overview, the story of the game doesn’t really necessitate playing as a human. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is solely focused on the trials and tribulations of this Na’vi character, so you will have to suffice with that for now.
There’s a lot to explore and discover in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. As a Na’vi character who doesn’t really know much about their own culture, you will get to learn all sorts of things in your journey to become a proper Na’vi. As you go through the story, you will learn to bond with your banshee, how to craft traditional Na’vi weapons, and much, much more. Suffice it to say, playing as a Na’vi is going to do more than make up for not having the option to play as a human. If you still want to play as a human, you can either wait for the developers to add such a thing or do it through a mod, provided someone is willing to make one in the first place.
