Audacity 2.4 runs on the Catalina notarization system to operate the OS on Mac. The developers claim this version will be completely replacing all the older versions on Windows, Linux, and Mac. The most noteworthy feature is the improvement and enlargement of the time toolbar.
The recording/playing time has been separated from the selection toolbar. The lest half you see in the image is the selection toolbar from which the new time toolbar has split and taken separate place on the right. This will be a huge help for those who are directly recording audio using Audacity. If the audio input is vocals, instrumentals, or anything that will hold the input farther from the screen, the large time toolbar will give better vision. Users can now view the waveform and spectrogram at the same time. The Multi-view mode aligns the graphs on top of each other as you can see. For all those who are new to Audacity, one had to switch back and forth to view waveform and spectrogram in the older versions.
