Atomic Heart is the recently released FPS action RPG from Mundfish. The game is being well-received by the fans as it got released on February 21, 2023, for Xbox One, PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, some PC players are facing issues like Crashing, Not Launching, Stuttering, etc while attempting to launch the game. This has a severe impact on the overall experience. Fix Atomic Heart Crashing, Not Launching issues
Since issues like crashing, game freezing, or the game not launching can occur due to a number of reasons, there are multiple methods to fix it. Let’s go through them individually:
1) Disable Flawless Widescreen
Primarily, the crashing issue in the Atomic Heart game is being experienced by the players at certain stages. Some examples include when players are using the Shock ability in the game, or when they are trying to open a car’s door. Well, this issue seems to trouble all those players who are using the Flawless Widescreen application to have a bigger FOV in the game since there is no inbuilt FOV slider. It is a bitter pill to swallow as now, you cannot even use any third-party applications to have a better FOV in the game. Turning off Flawless Widescreen has resulted in resolving the crashing issue. So, it is worth trying.
2) Uncheck Scanning in Flawless Widescreen
If you cannot tolerate the low FOV gameplay and want to use FWS anyhow, make sure to disable the “Scanning Fix” checkbox to minimize the chances of crashing while launching Flawless Widescreen.
3) Launch Options
Adding the “-dx11” command in the Steam Launch options seems to have resolved the crashing issue for some players. So, go to Steam Library, right-click on Atomic Heart, and select Properties. In the General Category, head to the Launch options, and type “-dx11” in the space given there. Now, relaunch the game and see if the issue is resolved.
4) Wait for Patch
If none of the above methods helped you out, all you can do is wait for an official patch. The game is receiving a lot of feedback from disappointed fans and the developers will hopefully address all the important issues like Crashing soon.
