Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl (BDSP): How to get Choice Band?

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are two such games that we can’t just stop playing. These have finally been released for the players and the response has been tremendous. But why are these games so amazing? Here is some info about the game –

WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE AND PLATFORM OF POKÉMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND AND SHINING PEARL?

This was one of the frequently asked questions until the game was released! Yeah, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have already been released on the 19th of November 2021 for players all over the world.

We got to know about this date when Nintendo revealed the pair of Sinnoh remakes during its Pokémon 25th-anniversary presentation. At the same time, we also got to know about the more experimental and fascinating open-world Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

Talking about the release platforms of the game, it is currently available for the Nintendo Switch players only, and the chances are negligible that we will have this game on any other console or platform.

WHAT ARE THE STARTER POKÉMON IN POKÉMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND AND SHINING PEARL?

The game Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl starts with the trainers meeting Professor Rowan of Sinnoh. Just like the previous Pokémon games, the trainers have to start by choosing a starting Pokémon of their own. Now you must be wondering about the starting Pokémon of this game, right?

So here is the answer. In Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, you will get three Pokémon to choose from – Chimchar, a fire type Pokémon monkey, Piplup, a water type Pokémon duck and Turtwig, a grass type Pokémon turtle.

Remember that you will have to spend your whole journey with this Pokémon you choose, so choose it wisely!

CAN YOU PLAY POKÉMON BRILLIANT DIAMOND AND SHINING PEARL ON PC?

Here is the news, to be honest, good news. Though Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are exclusive for the Nintendo Switch, you can play them on PC as well! Yes, you heard it right! You can play it on PC via the Ryujinx emulator.

And here is even the better news. Just like the recent Switch releases like Monster Hunter Rise, Mario Party Superstars, Shin Megami Tensei V, etc., this Pokémon version has managed to run without any major flaws to date.

In the case of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the Ryujinx team mentions no known graphical glitches, support for 60 FPS – even though NPCs will move faster than normal – and even the ability to trade and battle in multiplayer via LDN 2.4. We do not care about anything else until we have 60 FPS in the game!

WHAT IS A CHOICE BAND AND WHERE TO GET IT?

A choice band in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is a great held item to go for if you want to deal some massive damage in the game. Once your Pokémon holds the choice band, its attack stats are boosted by a whopping 50%!

Well, there is a limitation as well. Once you equip the choice band, your Pokémon can use only one out of the four moves available until pulled out of the battle.

Now the question is, where can you get this choice band in the game? It is quite easy. You just have to purchase the choice band at the Exchange Service Corner (BP Shop) in the Battle Park. In the Battle Park, you can go to the Battle Tower to earn these Battle Points, which you can then use at the BP Shop to buy the choice band. It will cost you around 25 battle points.
