PS5 was launched with a bang and huge competition this month. Finally, users have made their choices, yet those who have quickly purchased the PS5 are facing some issues. PS5 Controller is not charging while in rest mode and users have been facing a lot of inconvenience because of this error.
So here we are with a very simple way to fix this issue. Follow the instruction given below to solve the controller charging issue when in rest mode-
Step 1-
Click on Settings on the top-right corner of your screen.
Step 2-
You will find the option System at no. 6. Click and open.
Step 3 –
Then, click and open Power Saving (option no. 6, again). More options will open on the right side of the screen.
Step 4-
Click on the second option on the right- Features Available in Rest Mode.
Step 5-
Click on the first option Supply Power to USB Ports. Then select 3 Hours.
Step 6-
Return and enable Stay Connected to the Internet option (toggle right).
Step 7-
Enable Turning On PS5 from Network option (toggle right).
Out of the box, all the three toggles you see on your screen come turned off. So, hope you have enabled the first two (the third is optional and not related to the issue you are facing).
Talking about the Power Supply option, 3 hours is just the minimum option you get. You can also set it to Always, which is recommended in this case. By following these steps, we hope your problem related to the controller charging has been fixed.
Do note that this is just a temporary fix. There is no official word about the error. Also, some users have still found the problem to persist despite turning on the toggles. Do post your views online and report about this issue so that the officials take an action regarding this glitch.
