Lethal Company Infinite Loading Screen Issue: Is there any fix yet

Lethal Company Infinite Loading Screen Issue Is there any fix yet

Frustratingly, there is no official fix for the infinite loading screen problem in Lethal Company. However, this issue is not unique to Lethal Company alone. Many games have wrestled with similar challenges, and some solutions applied in those scenarios may offer respite to “Lethal Company” players. While a concrete solution to the infinite loading screen issue in this game remains elusive, players can draw hope from workarounds that have been effective in resolving similar problems in other games. Here are some potential steps to try:

Restart the Game and Run as Admin

Often, technical issues can be resolved simply by restarting the game. If you encounter an infinite loading screen, try quitting the game and launching it again. If you want to go the extra mile, you can try rebooting your PC as well. Additionally, running the game as an administrator can help alleviate certain access issues. Right-click the game’s shortcut or executable and choose “Run as administrator.”

Verify the Game Files

Steam offers a helpful feature for verifying game files. To do this, right-click on “Lethal Company” in your Steam library, select Properties, and go to the Installed Files tab. Click “Verify Integrity of Game Files”, and Steam will check and repair any corrupted or missing game files. After that, launch the game and check if you are still stuck on the loading screen.

Check for Antivirus/Windows Firewall Blocks

Sometimes, antivirus software can mistakenly block game processes, leading to loading issues. Ensure that your antivirus is not interfering with “Lethal Company”. Add the game to your antivirus’s exceptions or temporarily disable it to check if it’s causing the problem. And if you do not have a third-party antivirus, sometimes even your computer’s firewall can block the game from establishing a connection to the internet. To allow “Lethal Company” through your firewall, follow these steps:

  • Type “Windows Security” in the Windows search bar and open it.
  • Click on “Firewall & Network Protection”.
  • Under the “Allowed apps and features” section, click on “Change settings”.
  • Scroll down to find “Lethal Company” and ensure both the Private and Public boxes are checked.
  • Click “OK” to save the changes.

Update GPU Drivers and Use Dedicated GPU

Outdated or incompatible graphics card drivers can lead to performance issues. Update your GPU drivers to the latest version provided by the manufacturer. Additionally, make sure the game is using your dedicated GPU, especially if you have both integrated and dedicated graphics. Just type “Graphics” in the Windows search box to open the Graphics Settings menu, and from the list of installed programs that appear, select Lethal Company and set it to “High Performance”.

Use -dx11/-dx12 Launch Options

You can try different launch options to see if they resolve the loading screen problem. In the game’s launch settings on Steam, add either “-dx11” or “-dx12” (without quotes) to specify the DirectX version to use. To do this, right-click on the game from your library and head to Properties. Now, in the launch option box found in the General tab, you can try typing -dx11 or -dx12 and check if this solves the issue.

Disable Steam overlay

Steam Overlay can sometimes interfere with the performance of certain games. To disable it for “Lethal Company,” follow these steps:

  • Open Steam and go to your library.
  • Right-click on “Lethal Company” and select Properties.
  • In the General tab, uncheck the box that says “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.

After this, launch the game and see if you can get past the infinite loading screen.

Increase VRAM

Increasing your virtual RAM allocation can potentially help with loading issues. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Right-click on “This PC” or “My Computer” and choose “Properties”.
  • Go to “Advanced System Settings”.
  • Under the Advanced tab, click on “Settings” in the Performance section.
  • Navigate to the Advanced tab in the Performance Options window.
  • Click on “Change” under Virtual Memory.
  • Uncheck “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives”.
  • Select your system drive and choose “Custom size”.
  • Set the initial size and maximum size for your virtual memory (in MB). Recommended values are:
    • Minimum: 1.5 times your physical RAM size
    • Maximum: 3 times your physical RAM size
  • Click “Set” and then “OK” to apply the changes.

Reinstall the Game on an SSD

If none of the above-mentioned workarounds do the trick for you, the only option left is to reinstall the game completely. Now, when you decide to take this route, make sure to install the game on a faster storage drive, such as a Solid State Drive (SSD). This will significantly improve loading times and potentially resolve the issue.

Contact Support

Finally, it’s advisable to reach out to the official support channels of Lethal Company to discuss the problem if it persists even now. Developers may have specific insights or solutions for the problem you’re experiencing.

And for now, those are some workarounds that might help you get past the infinite loading screen in Lethal Company. Remember that the game is still in early access. So perhaps we can expect the game to be free from all these issues after the full release. Anyway, that is all the information we have to share on this matter.
