It is quite clear that the game would be exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and PC. So, Avowed will not be released for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch but it will be available on Xbox Game Pass. The rationale for this could be Microsoft’s acquisition of Obsidian Entertainment back in 2018. About the official release date of the game, the developers have casually hinted through design director Josh Sawyer that Obsidian Entertainment would be appearing at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase event in June 2022. Perhaps the game’s full release date will be announced then together with other hot releases.
