PUBG: How to check server status when servers are down

PUBG was the first battle royale to be catapulted to such heights of fame in the PC gaming world. What began as a mod for another popular game quickly grew into its own niche game and birthed the Battle Royale craze that took the PC world by storm. In the early days of PUBG, there were millions of concurrent players that joined in and played the game together with friends and random teammates alike. The popularity enjoyed by PUBG in its prime and even today is matched only by Fortnite and to some extent, Apex Legends.

PUBG was known for its intricate gunplay with realistic recoil and bullet physics, a feature that was unique to PUBG and not present in other popular battle royale titles such as Apex and Fortnite. In order to accommodate such a large player base, the PUBG team quickly realized that they would need widespread and powerful servers and they made sure that their servers were of very good quality and offered connectivity to players across the globe. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at PUBG: How to check server status when servers are down.

PUBG: How to check server status when servers are down

Battle Royales and other online games rely heavily on their servers to do all the heavy lifting when it comes to dealing with player traffic and interaction. That is why the servers are always checked for errors, and corruption and are continually maintained well and with good caution. If the servers go down at times other than when the maintenance is scheduled or when an update is queued, the game can lose massive revenue. That is why they make every effort to fix their servers at the earliest.

PUBG: How to check server status when servers are down?

Players have two choices; the official Twitter handle of the game or third-party tracking websites that track servers based on user complaints and time. Twitter is by far the better option to pick as it is direct, to the point and will come directly from the team maintaining the servers or the game developers whilst third-party websites are known to be inaccurate and unreliable. If the third-party websites have huge player traffic and have published when and how often they refresh their data, they are somewhat legitimate but they are still inferior to Twitter.

We recommend that players primarily rely on the official Twitter handles of the game before even considering moving over to third-party websites due to their poor accuracy and reliability.
