MONSTER HUNTER RISE – GAME NOT SAVING ISSUE

Okay, it has just been a couple of days since the game was released, and there have been a lot of issues already. Well, not a lot of them, but one is up for sure. A lot of players have started reporting about the game not saving issue. When launching the full version of the game for the first time, it fails to complete a proper save and hence can’t be started.

So you got to know the issue, but is there any fix available for this yet? Umm, there are no such official fixes, but the devs have stated that they are looking into this matter, so we can expect a fix to be released soon. Well, there are a couple of things you can try to fix this error. The devs have also asked the players to be careful when using the confirm button on the gamepad.

So if you are using a gamepad to play the game, here is what you should do. If the Controller Button Icon Type is set to 1 or 2, the default confirmation button is A. If it is set to 3 or 4, the default button is ✕. If it is set to 5, the default button is B. You can also use the F key on the keyboard to do the same!

Here are some things that you can try –

  • Consider disabling Steam Cloud. To, do so, follow these steps:
    •  Go to your Library in the Steam client, right-click on Monster Hunter Rise, then select Properties.
    • Next, select General and then head to Steam Cloud. Now disable this feature.
  • Delete save data from the local files for the demo and full version. Go to the below folder and delete the folders “1446780” and “1641480”.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\(User ID)\remote\

  • Keep in mind that you should not delete the wrong folder! So it is better if you copy the folders to another location before deleting them just to be safe. And at last, reboot your PC.
