Zelda Tears of the Kingdom All Weather Effects List

If you believed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was the apex of the series, then you have most likely not played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the most recent installment. This new game is swiftly rising to the top of this year’s releases. When compared to the previous title, the breadth, and scale of Hyrule in this new game are significantly greater and more grandiose. Anyway, you might not be aware that the game includes various weather scenarios, each of which has a different impact on the player and the environment. So, what are all the potential weather scenarios and how do they affect you? Well, we have shared all the details in this article, so consider reading till the end.

Players who had played Breath of the Wild prior to Tears of the Kingdom will be familiar with the whole weather shenanigans. However, if you are new to the Zelda games, then you must remember that the weather in the game will have an effect on you and your surroundings. Depending on the weather, you might have to change your playstyle. In Tears of the Kingdom, there are six distinct weather conditions. The weather system is dynamic and keeps changing in about 4 minutes of real-world time. To make Hyrule more realistic, some of the locations, like mountains, will have a fixed weather condition, which is snowfall. All that aside, let us see the effects of all these weather conditions in the game.

While the weather is dynamic in the game, there is no way to change it at your will. If you fancy a different weather, the only thing you can do is wait for it to change. You can either choose to pass your time by a campfire or by sleeping on your bed. All that aside, here is a list of all the weather conditions and their effects:

Weather Effects
Sunny When the sun shines, you will not have to worry about any weather effects.
Snow During a snowfall, visibility will be severely impacted.
Sandstorm Sandstorms will not only decrease the overall visibility but the map also becomes unusable as well.
Cloudy The cloud weather will have no effect on your character or the surroundings.
Rain During rain, campfires will go out and you will not be able to use flame arrows. The slopes become slippery as well, making it difficult for Link to climb. The best part is that if you have a Water Warrior passive ability on any weapon then it will receive a buff during a rainfall. You are also less likely to stumble across animals and enemies in this weather condition.
Thunderstorm The effects of a thunderstorm are similar to that of rain, however, there is one more thing to worry about. The chances of getting hit by lighting will increase if you have metal armor/weapon equipped.

And there you have it; the list given above should provide you with all the information you need. Well, that is all we have to share on this topic.
