Wuthering Waves BlurryPixelated Textures Issue Is there any fix yet (2)

Wuthering Waves might be a visual treat on the surface, but if you’re suddenly squinting at blurry rocks, pixelated grass, or textures that look like they belong in a game from 2005, the treat turns into a nightmare. Many players have been dealing with this issue with visuals that look off. Whether you’re exploring or locked in an intense boss fight, muddied visuals are the last thing anyone would want. So, what’s going on with the textures and more importantly, is there a fix?

You must have noticed that some regions in Wuthering Waves have textures that look strangely low-res. Almost like someone smeared Vaseline over your screen. This issue seems to affect a good number of players, especially in specific zones like Rinascita, where terrain, structures, and even character details can appear muddy or pixelated despite running on capable hardware. That said, read till the end to find out what fixes are available to deal with this.

Wuthering Waves Blurry/Pixelated Textures Issue: Is there any fix yet

Wuthering Waves BlurryPixelated Textures Issue Is there any fix yet

Unfortunately, there’s no official fix yet for the blurry texture issue, but the community has been quick to step in. Players experiencing this problem have shared a handful of workarounds that seem to help in some cases, and we’ve gathered the most promising ones below for you to try out.

Basic checks

The first thing you should try when facing blurry textures is to restart your PC to clear any potential system glitches. After rebooting, make sure to run the game and any related software (like Steam or Nvidia tools) with administrator privileges to ensure they have full access to system resources. Additionally, close any unnecessary apps or performance-heavy software running in the background.

GPU-related workarounds

Another important step is to update your GPU drivers to the latest version. Head over to the official website for your graphics card manufacturer: NVIDIA or AMD, and download the most recent drivers available for your specific GPU model. Alternatively, you can use tools like GeForce Experience (for NVIDIA) or AMD Adrenalin to check for and install updates automatically. After updating, restart your PC to ensure the changes take effect. With the update in place, type “Graphics” in the Windows search box to open the Graphics Settings menu, and from the list of installed programs that appear, select Wuthering Waves and set it to “High Performance”.

ini fix

To fix the blurry textures in Wuthering Waves, start by heading to the game’s installation directory. This is typically located at: C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Wuthering Waves (or wherever your Steam is installed). Once inside, head to Client\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and locate the Engine.ini file. Before making any changes, create a backup of the file just in case (although it’s unlikely you’ll run into issues). Open the Engine.ini file using a text editor (you might need admin rights), then scroll to the bottom and add the following lines:

  • [ConsoleVariables]
  • r.Kuro.SkeletalMesh.LODDistanceScale=25
  • r.Streaming.FullyLoadUsedTextures=1

After adding these lines, save the file and close the editor. These changes adjust the texture loading settings and LOD (Level of Detail) scale, which can help resolve the blurry and pixelated textures in the game.

Nvidia filters

If you’re still struggling with blurry textures in Wuthering Waves, one player suggested trying out Nvidia Filters as a potential fix. This method involves pressing Alt+z in-game to bring up the Nvidia GeForce Experience overlay, which allows you to adjust in-game settings. Bring up the overlay and tweak around with the sliders to get the perfect visuals. Also, while this feature works best on high-quality IPS or OLED monitors, it can improve image clarity on lower-end displays as well.

Last resort fixes

If you’ve tried all the above steps, it’s time to turn to some final options. Start by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library, going to Properties > Installed Files, and clicking Verify integrity of game files. This will check for any missing or corrupted files and replace them. Also, make sure the game itself is fully up to date. If none of this helps, your last resort is to completely uninstall and reinstall the game.

We hope that one of these workarounds came in handy in solving the issue. Now, before you leave, do not forget to bookmark DigiStatement for more daily gaming content like this. You can also click here to find out how to fix a similar issue with textures in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.
