How to increase FPS and improve Performance in WoW Shadowlands

- First, you need to make sure that your Windows and your GPU drivers are up to date.
- Now, go to Battlenet Launcher and click on the Top-left side. There you will find Settings options. Open it and then make the following changes showing in the image below-
- After doing so, go to the Wow Shadowland and right-click on it. Now you will see an option that says “Open in explorer”. Click on it and you will be inside the WoW Shadowland directory. Right-click on the “WoW Shadowland Launcher.exe” and click on Properties. Now, navigate to the Compatibility tab and there make the following changes-
- Check the “Disable Full Screen Optimization” option.
- Now, click on “Change High DPI settings” and there click on the Override option at the bottom. Hit apply and close the window.
- Perform the same procedure to the Wow.exe file in the _retail_ folder.
- Now open Registry Editor by typing “Regedit” in the Start menu. Then, navigate to the shown directories and change the values of the following files shown in the below images.
- Set the GPU Priority option to a value of 8
- Set the Priority option to a value of 6
- After doing all this, open up Wow Shadowlands, go to the Setting options, and then into the graphic menu. Make the necessary changes according to your liking or take a reference from the given image-
- Update the Advanced Settings according to the provided Image-
- The final step of this tutorial is to download a program that helps reducing background processes and increase your overall performance and FPS. Download the program from this link- Click here
- After downloading, open the program and copy the same settings as provided in the given image-
- However, make sure that the “Free memory is lower than” option is set to half the size of ram you have i.e. if you have 16GB RAM, the value should be 8000MB. Then, after applying all those settings, click on Start and then click on “Purge Standby list”.
Now, all you need to do is open up the game and enjoy the extra FPS and performance boost.
