It’s been ten years since Ubisoft has released or talked about a new Prince of Persia title, but it looks like a new game in the franchise is on its way.
Earlier this year, rumors were revolving around a Prince of Persia remake in works, but those were later splashed away by an industry insider Daniel Ahmad. He said that no POP remake in work.
No Prince of Persia remake may be a little saddening news, but it looks like we are surely going to get a new Prince of Persia title in the future. According to the post shared by a Reddit user NayamAmarshe, Ubisoft has registered a new domain named princeofpersia6.com on May 4, 2020. Currently, it leads to nowhere.

Ubisoft also owns Prince of Persia 5 ( Forgotten Sand’s ) domain called princeofpersia5.com, which was registered back in 2008. It is now redirected to the Ubisoft’s main website. Similarly, previous games have a separately registered domain with the name princeofpersiaX.com.
So, if we follow this trend, the new website has been solely registered for the new Prince of Persia title. It is possible that currently, Ubisoft has no plans to work on POP 6, but it might be gearing up for the initial layouts.
If the game is in development, it won’t come out anytime before 2022. Ubisoft had already confirmed its five AAA titles which are scheduled to release before March 2021 including Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, Rainbow Six: Quarantine, Assassin’s Creed and last is not unveiled but it is Far Cry 6.
Anyone holding out hope for Splinter Cell is, once again, going to be disappointed. Sorry! (It’s AC and Far Cry.) https://t.co/7hKDV3y5QS
