The Witcher 3: How to Transfer Saves Files From PS4 to PS5?

To transfer your saved files from the PS4 to the PS5, follow the steps below. However, note that to do this, you will need a GOG account.

  • You need to first make sure that the PS4 version of the game is fully updated. This means that if your game needs an update to be installed, you should go ahead and do it before transferring the saved files.
  • The next step that you should do is to transfer your saved files from the PS4 version of the game to GOG. This is a crucial step as these files are exactly the ones that you will get access to on the PS5 version. Now, to do this step, launch the PS4 version of the game > Go to saved files through “load game” > Navigate to the “Cross progression” option from the options at the bottom by pressing L2.
  • Now, you need to link your account to the GOG Platform. For this, you have to simply scan the QR via your phone or enter the link on your PC.
  • You will now be taken to the rewards page of The Witcher 3 where you have to click on “Claim”.
  • After that, log in if you already have a GOG account or create one.
  • Now, access the game on your PS4 and create a manual save. This manual save will show you a cloud icon, which will indicate that now all your saved files will be stored on the cloud. After this, you can safely close the PS4 version of the game.
  • Lastly, all you need to do is download the PS5 version of the game. After the download, go to the “My Rewards” option and link your PS5 account to the GOG account to which you linked the PS4 account.
  • Once this is done, you will be able to access the manual save from the Load Save option in the PS5 version of The Witcher 3.

Now, you can continue your journey on the game’s PS5 version without having to lose any progress. We hope you found this guide useful. Keep visiting Digistatement for more.
