Street Fighter (SF) 6 How to enabledisable Motion Blur, VSync, Ambient Occlusion, & Depth of Field

Fighting genre fans are in for a treat. With games like Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat 1 set to release sometime in the future and the release of Capcom’s next entry into the Street Fighter franchise, you can imagine why fans of the fighting genre are going to have a blast. Anyway, since you clicked on the article, you already know which game we are going to talk about. That’s right, Street Fighter 6; the iconic franchise, is back with a more iconic roster of characters. And that is not all; the game has new mechanics, new characters to choose from, and a whole lot more to unpack. However, in this guide, we will share details on how to enable/disable the in-game visual features like Motion Blur, Vsync, Ambient Occlusion, and Depth of Field. So, if you just picked up your copy of the game and are struggling to toggle these features on or off, this is just the article for you.

Before we move further, we hope that you are already aware of these visual features and what they do in the game. If you don’t, however, knowing won’t hurt you. So, motion blur is a common feature; it adds the illusion of speed during motion. VSync, on the other hand, makes sure that your frame rates are steady and not all over the place; however, enabling it might cause input lag. Ambient Occlusion enhances the in-game shadows and lighting, but you would want to turn it off if you don’t have a powerful PC. And finally, Depth of Field, to put it simply, will emphasize the focus of the objects near you while blurring out the distant objects and background. Although these visual settings add realism to the game’s environment, having them enabled might be too much for your system. So, disabling might be the right choice. But how?

Folks, you can rest easy as you will not have to tweak any lines in the game’s .ini files to enable/disable these settings. All of the mentioned settings can be enabled or disabled from the in-game settings menu. Still, if you are having trouble finding them or don’t want to waste your precious game time searching for the relevant options, just follow the steps given below.

  • You need to start by launching the game.
  • Now, make your way to the Multi-menu section.
  • Choose the “Options” menu from the multi-menu section.
  • From the options menu, head to the “Graphics” tab.
  • Now, select and choose the “Basic Graphics Settings option” from the Graphics tab.
  • In the menu that opens on the right side, you will find the options for Motion Blur, VSync, Ambient Occlusion, and Depth of Field.

While you tweak the in-game settings, keep in mind that these can impact the game’s performance on your PC.
