Starfield has its fair share of bugs and glitches. Among all the crashes, stuttering, and other issues, the bugs that plague the various in-game quests are quite annoying. Players take on a quest only to find out that certain parts of it have been bugged. That said, recently, many have encountered a frustrating bug in the “Divided Loyalties” quest in Starfield. So, if you are struggling to complete this quest too, keep reading this article to learn how to get past this bug.
During the quest, players are eventually given the task of following Andreja after finding Eren Bascolm’s camp and defeating all the zealots. However, instead of leading the way, Andreja just follows the in-game character. Since players aren’t given a waypoint to follow, they are stuck in the area with no information on where to go. But that may not be the case for everyone. For some, the bug might occur at different quest checkpoints, resulting in Andreja being stuck. This bug has proven to be quite persistent, leaving players with limited options for progressing through the game. So, is there a fix yet?
Starfield Divided Loyalties Quest Bug: Is there any fix yet
As of now, there is no official fix for this issue. As a result, players have resorted to using different workarounds to get past the quest checkpoints. We have listed some of the most effective workarounds that might help you get past the bug and continue with the quest.
Using Console Commands (PC only)
For PC players, there is a straightforward way to deal with any broken or bugged quest. This involves using console commands to skip a quest or a specific part of a quest. For the Divided Loyalties bug, you can do the same. But first, you will need to know the console command. Well, here it is: “SetStage 0021ECD0 [Stage #]“.
Now, here is the important part: “0021ECD0” is the quest ID of the Divided Loyalties quest, and in the Stage number or the objective number, you will have to enter the stage/objective where you are experiencing the bug. Here are the stage numbers of the quest objectives, as per Reddit user The_Gamers_Guide:
- 10 Reach Akila City
- 20 Talk to Andreja at Aggie’s
- 30 Ask about Eren Bascolm
- 40 Talk to Andreja
- 45 Travel to Hyla II
- 50 Talk to Andreja
- 55 Find Eren Bascolm’s camp
- 60 Defeat the Zealots
- 70 Follow Andreja
- 75 Find information about Jaeda
- 80 Talk to Andreja
- 85 Travel The Den
- 90 Ask around about Jaeda
- 100 Rach Jaeda’s last known location
- 110 Find Jaeda
- 120 Hail Jaeda’s ship
- 130 Defeat the Zealots
So, if you are bugged out on the part where you are supposed to “Follow Andreja”, you will have to use the console command given above along with the respective stage number of that objective. So, to skip the “Follow Andreja” objective, open the console command window by pressing the ~ key on your keyboard, and enter the following command SetStage 0021ECD0 75. Finally, if you are worried about achievements getting disabled when using console commands, you can use the Achievement Enabler Mod to make sure you still unlock them.
If Andreja is stuck in a particular area during the quest, use the following command to teleport her to your location, and progress further: SetStage 0021ECD0 0. After this, you can even make her your companion.
Reload a previous Save
Now if you are playing on an Xbox, you won’t have the privilege to skip a bugged objective or a quest with console commands. In that case, you will have to reload a previous save and play along from that point hoping that you don’t run into the same bug. This method can be used by PC players as well.
Try again after some time
If you find yourself stuck in the “Divided Loyalties” quest in Starfield, it may be a good idea to wait for some time or take on different quests before you come back to complete this one. You can also try traveling to new systems before attempting it again.
