Star Wars Jedi Survivor HDR Not Working Issue on PS5 Is there any fix yet

Gamers have been eagerly waiting for the release of Star Wars Jedi Survivor on PS5, and now that it is released, there are glaring issues that many are encountering. With stunning graphics and intense gameplay, the game promises to transport players into the heart of the Star Wars universe like never before. However, some players have been facing a frustrating issue that has prevented them from fully immersing themselves in the game. The HDR (High Dynamic Range) feature, which enhances the visual quality of the game, has not been working for some players on their PS5 consoles, resulting in a dark and pixelated view of the world when it is enabled. This has left many wondering if there is a fix available yet. In this article, we will explore this issue in detail and look at possible solutions for players who have been affected it. So, grab your lightsabers and keep reading.

High Dynamic Range (HDR) is a feature in modern games that allows for a more realistic and vibrant display of colors and contrast. With HDR, game developers can create stunning visuals that are closer to how the human eye perceives the world. This feature has become increasingly popular in recent years, with many gamers seeking out games that support HDR to enhance their gaming experience. That said, let us see if there is any fix for the HDR not working issue in Star Wars Jedi Survivor on PS5.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor HDR Not Working Issue on PS5 Is there any fix yet

Despite the widespread complaints from players regarding the HDR not working issue in Star Wars Jedi Survivor on PS5, there is no official fix from the developers yet. However, the community managers at EA forums have acknowledged the issue and confirmed that they have passed it on to the game’s developers for investigation. In the meantime, some players have reported success using a suggested workaround that appears to offer a temporary solution to the problem. To enable HDR in your game, you can try maxing out the HDR settings of your console itself. Here are the steps to do so on a PS5:

  • From the PS5 home screen, go to “Settings” by selecting the gear icon at the top-right corner of the screen.
  • In the “Settings” menu, select “Screen and Video”.
  • Select “Video Output” from the list of options.
  • Under “Video Output”, select “HDR”.
  • Ensure that the “HDR” toggle switch is turned on.
  • Next, adjust the “HDR brightness” setting to the maximum value. This will allow your console to output the brightest possible HDR signal to your TV.
  • Save the changes and exit the “Settings” menu.

Now that your console’s HDR settings are maxed out, you can adjust the HDR values from within the game settings. This will help you achieve the optimal HDR experience. To do this, just start the game and jump into the options menu, head over to the Visuals tab, where you can adjust the HDR brightness to 20 and the HDR Black Point to a maximum of 5. Feel free to fiddle with these values to get the desired HDR effect. You can watch the shared video for a more detailed explanation.

Another player mentioned that switching HDR Tone Mapping to HGIG on their TV fixed the HDR issues in the game. So, you can try this as well.

Well, that is how you can currently deal with the HDR issue in Star Wars Jedi Survivor, till the devs fix it permanently. We hope this guide has been helpful and informative.
