It’s been 35 years since the Ukrainian city of Chernobyl got ravaged by the worst man-made disaster ever recorded. The town, which got synonymous with ghost town and disaster, saw mass clearance after a nuclear power plant disaster led to the spread of deadly radiations. It was during a time when nuclear science was booming and still reaching its maturing age. Henceforth for many scientists, it was difficult to analyse and take protective decisions for people. While people started vacating their homes, many of them were unaware of the dangers of radiation and how history would change forever.
As a result, we associate Chernobyl with a ghost town, because of how we get to see Soviet-style apartments and buildings, but no people. As the place looks deserted, it is very easy to get a spooky vibe out of it. Even after 35 years of the disaster, Chernobyl remains a deadly zone, polluted by radiation. The rooms and clothes of the erstwhile Soviet firefighters are still reeking of radiation. This has changed Soviet and the Ukrainian history, as we got to know through the game STALKER. STALKER stands for Scavengers, Trespassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers. The game revolves around how the Chernobyl disaster occurs for the second time, bringing another twist in mankind, as the radiation has got plans.

In the second part of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, we get to see Skif, who inhabits the Zone. The Zone is a highly radioactive area, outside Chernobyl. This radioactive barren wasteland is a shelter for anomalies and many mutants. It is up to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to explore the Zone while battling the terrifying abominations that stand in their way of the opulent treasures strewn about.
For Ukrainian game creators GSC Game World, an official statement is yet to be announced. But we can expect STALKER 3, coming by 2027, for Xbox and Microsoft Windows.
