Well, the protagonist (you) manages a bathhouse after having consumed spirittea which gave them the ability to see troubled spirits. So, your objective in the game is to resolve the troubled spirits’ problems and set them free of misery. In addition to this, you have various townspeople to interact with and many locations to wander. So, the game offers a blend of simulation, problem-solving, and cozy gameplay. With these gameplay elements, it is no wonder that the game will be more fun playing with friends in a multiplayer setting. But is there a multiplayer release date for it?
Spirittea Multiplayer Mode Release Date: When is it coming out
Unfortunately, as of now, the game is still void of a multiplayer mode. Currently, it is strictly a single-player experience. That means that players have to manage the bathhouse and get rid of troubled souls all by themselves.
On KickStater, many players asked about the multiplayer option in Spirittea. Dan Beckerton from Cheesemaster Games, responded with the following statement regarding a multiplayer mode for the game:
I don’t have any plans at this point for multiplayer in Spirittea, though I had thrown around an idea for a multiplayer mode at one point. It could change at some point in the future, but at this point, I will have to say there are no plans for multiplayer just yet. It would definitely be a cool thing to have though.
Although it seems that a multiplayer mode is currently a distant reality based on the above statement, the official response was made a year ago. A lot of things have changed since then, and due to the fact that many players are wishing for a co-op experience in the game, we think that it is only a matter of time before the developers implement a multiplayer mode. But, since there is no official confirmation on the same, make sure to take this information with a pinch of salt.
