Sons of the Forest: Can you get a Compass?
Unfortunately, Sons of the Forest does not have a dedicated compass in the game. As we mentioned before, you get a GPS tracker quite early on. It has a map that shows your location as well as the location of all the caves and other important places. Most players don’t need a compass to search the direction in the single-player game mode. You can look at the player icon to check which direction you are facing. But, things can get a little tricky in the multiplayer mode.
A lot of players find it hard to convey their general direction when playing Sons of the Forest with their friends. This is because there is no way to tell North, South, East, or West in the game. So, you end up giving vague locations to your pals if they wish to move in your direction. A lot of players have requested the devs to at least add a small NSEW marker on the GPS tracker. But so far, we haven’t got a positive reply from them. We will make sure to update our article if the devs reveal more information about the topic. Until then, stay tuned to Digi Statement.
