RuneScape Dragonwilds Save File Location: Where is it

RuneScape Dragonwilds Save File Location Where is it (2)

If you’ve been diving deep into the wild and magical world of RuneScape Dragonwilds, you’ve probably already chopped down a forest with spectral axes, mined your way through glowing rocks, and maybe even stared down a dragon or two. But whether you’re playing solo or teaming up with friends, one question is bound to pop up eventually: where the heck is your save file stored? Maybe you want to back it up before a patch drops, transfer it to another machine, or just satisfy that inner curiosity we all have about where our progress lives. Whatever the reason, we’ve got you covered.

One of the current pain points for RuneScape Dragonwilds players is the lack of cloud save support, meaning your character and world progress stay locked to the machine you played on. So if you’ve poured hours into building up your world only to switch to a new PC, yep, you’ll have to manually transfer your save files via something like a USB drive. It’s totally doable, but it can catch players off guard, especially if they didn’t realize there’s no automatic sync. This is where manually locating your save files comes in clutch.

Well, below we have shared all the details regarding the location of your saved game files. And just for an added bonus, we have also provided the location of the config files if you are someone who is looking to edit it as well.

Save File location

To locate your RuneScape Dragonwilds saved game files on your PC, just follow these steps!

  • Open File Explorer: You can do this by pressing Windows + E or clicking the folder icon in your taskbar.
  • Go to your main drive: Usually this is the C: drive where Windows is installed.
  • Navigate to the Users folder: After this, all you have to do is open C:\Users.
  • Select your user profile folder: This will be the folder with your Windows username. In the example, it’s Jeff, so you’d open C:\Users\Jeff.
  • Reveal hidden folders: The next folder, AppData, is hidden by default. Click on the “View” tab at the top of File Explorer and check the box for “Hidden items” to make it visible.
  • Open AppData: With the AppData folder visible, open it and then go to Local.
  • Find the game folder: Inside the Local folder, locate the folder named RSDRAGONWILDS.
  • Go to the saves: From there, open Saved, then SaveGames.

The full path should look like this: C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\RSDRAGONWILDS\Saved\SaveGames

Inside that folder, you’ll find your character/world save files, which you can now copy to a USB drive and move to your new PC. Just drop them in the exact same path on the second machine, and you’re back in business!

Config Files Location

To find the config files for RuneScape Dragonwilds, head over to: C:\Users\[usernamefolder]\AppData\Local\RSDragonwilds\Saved\Config\Windows.

Again, make sure hidden folders are enabled in your File Explorer. Once inside the path, you’ll find the game’s configuration files, which can be useful for tweaking settings or troubleshooting issues manually.

This is all you need to know about the location of the saved game and config files for RuneScape Dragonwilds.
