Video games tend to face many bugs and issues, these are common across all genres irrespective of which studio made them, there hasn’t been a single video game in recent years that hasn’t faced a single bug, the problem with this begins to arise when the developers do not take notice of the issue and hence there is no patch or fix released for it or the game developers simply avoid fixing the issue, which believe it or not has been noticed with many smaller game studios and video games, but Psyonix is different when it comes to handling bugs and issues Rocket League faces, they have released a list of bugs and issues which are known to the developers and this list is updated, the most recent update to the list was on September 8, 2021. One of the issues with Rocket League on PC is for players who connect a controller, their controller disconnects during gameplay without any particular reason.
Fortunately, this issue has been noticed and mentioned under the current known issues for Rocket League on the list which Psyonix had published, for which the link is here in case you wish to see for yourself, on point number 6 it has been stated “[PC] controller may randomly disconnect during gameplay”
These known issues have been getting patched or fixed in every patch that’s released for Rocket League, for instance, a known issue that prevented Playstation 5’s to run 120 fps at 4k resolution was patched in patch v2.04 or a bug that showed the incorrect rank after matches were fixed in patch v2.02.
Hence, to those players who are currently facing this problem of their controller randomly disconnecting on Rocket League then we would suggest simply waiting as it will be patched soon since it has been brought to the attention of the developers and is on their radar of problems to fix.
