Returnal Save File Location: Where is it

Cloud saves are cool but there is always a chance of losing them. So, Returnal players are curious about the local save file location of the game. Now there are various reasons why you might want to make a backup of these files. Returnal has some difficult boss fights. And most of the time, you will need to restart the whole thing if you die. Well, this can get tiring really fast. So, players can make a backup of the saved files and then use them to restart the game from a location they want to.

Returnal is an amazing action shooter video game. Players will go through several levels of tough bosses before they reach the end. You will get your hands on new weapons and armor for each run. This helps to keep things interesting. But, this also means that you need to restart everything from zero if you die during a certain run. This usually happens when you fight a boss. Naturally, folks wish to do something so that they don’t have to repeat the whole level all over again. On top of that, if the game’s save files get corrupted, they have to start their journey all over again. So, manually backing up the saved files is the safest option to ensure that you get the best experience. For that, you should know where to look.

Returnal Save File Location: Where is it?

It is very easy to find and back up your Returnal save files. All you have to do is go to This PC. Then head over to the C drive. Here, look for the Users folder and open it. Inside, look for and open the folder with your Username. Now, you will need to open the AppData folder. If you are unable to find this folder, click on the View icon at the very top bar. Then, make sure to check the box next to the Hidden Items option. Next, go to the Local folder and then look for Returnal.

Inside, you will find a Steam folder. Open it and then click on the Saved folder. Once you do this, you will see a bunch of other folders. Here, open the SaveGames folder. This contains all your manual save files of Returnal. So, the path to the saved files is- ThisPC/C/Users/Usernamefolder/Appdata/Local/Returnal/Steam/Saved/SaveGames.

Now, simply copy the files in the directory to another location. You can then use these files later on in case your original saves get corrupted or if you wish to restart the game from the last saved point. This brings us to the end of the article.
