It’s 3rd April and if you are not living under the rock, you know that Resident 3 Remake just launched and with it has arrived their fun multiplayer game called Resident Evil Resistance. Capcom has announced the addition of Jill Valentine to the Multiplayer game and we sure are hyped up for it now!
In the online multiplayer, 4 survivors are working on defeating the cruel experiments done by a Mastermind. The game is an asymmetrical 4v1 and you can choose between being the Mastermind or one of the survivor.
You can select between 6 survivors which all rely on weapons and the ability to help each other to get out of the pickle set-up by the Mastermind. The Mastermind uses bio-weapon like Tyrant and mutant G-Birking, set traps, and manipulate the surrounding to confuse and lead them to lose.
Masterminds include Alex Wesker, Annette Birkin, and Ozwell E. Spencer.
Jill will be added as a playable character in this non-canon multiplayer game on the April 17 update. The game does not adhere to the Resi-verse, meaning that the plot is more fluid and the timeline doesn’t match with the story. Even though some elements in the story are built upon the prequel foundations, Capcom defined the game as “a fun online experience with connections to the RE Universe”
The Official Playstation Magazine had an interview with Resident Evil 3 producer Peter Fabiano where he went on to explain why they clubbed Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil Mastermind into one rather than selling them as individual games.
You’ll remember that the Japanese subtitle for RE3 was Last Escape, Fabiano tells OPM. Both of these titles have characters that are trying to escape somewhere or something, so thematically it made sense. We also wanted to take up the challenge of building out an online game set in the RE universe.
We are excited to first pick Jill every game as soon as she drops in the game on April 17. Till then Happy Gaming and Stay safe!
