Remnant 2 Strange Object: How to get, find, & use

From the makers of 2019 Remnant: From the Ashes comes its sequel, Remnant 2 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Windows platform. The reception of the game has been very positive, with some even deeming it more fun and overall better than the first one. Like Remnant: From the Ashes, the sequel can get overwhelming for some players. And some items in the game could be quite tough to find and use if you aren’t familiar with them. That’s why, in this guide, we will be dealing with the item called Strange Object, and sharing all the details regarding it.

Remnant: From the Ashes was particularly famous for its elaborate puzzles and secrets. And with its sequel, the developers have left no stone unturned to up the ante. Now, finding the Strange Object isn’t that hard compared to others, but it could still give you a headache if you don’t know where to look. So, consider reading this guide until the end to know everything about the Strange Object in Remnant 2.

Strange Object is yet another important item in Remnant 2. You really can’t ignore getting it since it’s a quest item. That said, here’s how you can get it and use it in the game:

Getting the Strange Object

Finding the Strange Object isn’t particularly hard. The item is located in the following three areas:

  • Tormented Asylum
  • Malefic Gallery
  • Beatific Gallery

Depending on your story choices, you will need to defeat either of the bosses mentioned below:

The Nightweaver, found in the Tormented Asylum:

Aim for the heart to defeat the Nightweaver. She has two phases. In the first phase, she will frequently summon minions to defeat you in addition to using her usual ranged and melee attacks. One of the best tips for this fight is to run in the middle of the courtyard so you have enough room to deal damage, as the boss fight area is quite small in the first phase. For her second phase, we suggest you go back to the place where you spawned and attack from there. And don’t forget to steer clear of the walls as much as possible.

** Note that you can choose to fight either Faerin or Faelin. You cannot fight both. Moreover, when it comes to strategies, both of the following bosses have fairly identical moves, so whatever tips apply Faerin, the same do to Faelin too. **

Faerin – Found in the Malefic Gallery/ Faelin – Found in the Beatific Gallery

Unlike the Nightweaver, Faerin/Faelin has three phases. When it comes to weakness, both Faerin and Faelin are susceptible to damage to their head. After dropping both bosses to 50% health, they will use the giant swords from the statues located in the arena. When health drops to 25%, both bosses will use two more additional moves. An AoE spell that utilizes a cloud of energy and a sword impalement attack. Dodging should be the best counter to most of the moves executed by the boss.

Defeat any of these bosses and you will be rewarded the Strange Object as a drop.

Using Strange Object

Players can use the Strange Object to get the Biome Portal key. All you need to do is head to The Labyrinth and then find The Keeper there. Approach him and give the Strange Object to him. Next, he will provide you with the Biome Portal Key, which, in return, you can use to open a door in the Labyrinth and get Leto’s Stash.
