2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes was a breath of fresh air for players looking to experience something new in the soul-like genre. Rather than focusing on the usual melee combat, as the Souls-like genre is famous for, it decided to incorporate gunplay. And by Jove, it turned out to be a great decision by the developers. Well, now in 2023, the sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes is finally here, with Gunfire Games once again as the development studio. Like its predecessor, Remnant 2 also has lots of puzzles, missions, and items that can be quite frustrating to complete or find. And if you are reading this article, you must really want to find the Ornate Key in the game.
One of the best things about the previous game, Remnant: From the Ashes, was that besides your usual soul-like combat, it also had a varied amount of complex puzzles and such for the players to solve. Remnant 2 hasn’t ditched that part but has successfully incorporated it again. Finding the Ornate Key can be a chore, and we know that. So, here’s a guide we have prepared specifically for players wanting to find the key so that they don’t have to pull out their hair anymore in search of this particular item.
Remnant 2 Ornate Key: How to get, find & use
In case you didn’t know, the Ornate Key is used to unlock the Ornate box in Remnant 2. However, it can be tricky to find the key if you don’t know where to look. Now, in order to find the Ornate Key, you need to head over to The Widow’s Court in Yaesha. Now, when you arrive at the location, search for the Pan Warrior corpse located under the ruined bridge. The Ornate Key will be with the corpse itself, along with a note. So, now that you have the Ornate key, all that is left is to find the Ornate Box to use the key.
Where’s Ornate Lockbox, though?
This is also located in the same place, i.e., Widow’s Court. When you enter Widow’s Court, you will see a “Now Entering” banner. There will be two paths ahead of you. Take the one on the right and keep walking straight. Eventually, you will be at the edge of the path. Turn left and keep walking. A few steps ahead, you will see stairs, one leading up and another downward. Take the one that goes down. Next, just below the stairs, you will see a giant door. Go inside. There will be enemies there, so go ahead and kill them all.
If you see a fountain ahead, then you are on the right path. Keep going straight. Eventually, you will see a chasm with a waterfall. Jump inside and defeat all the enemies there. Once you have decimated all enemies, go through the waterfall, and you will find yourself in a lengthy corridor. Walk to the end of it. There will be a chest there, but it’s not the one we are looking for. To continue, face the left side of the wall and start running. That’s right! It’s a fake wall. At the end of this newfound room, you will see an elevator. Use it and wait until it reaches the top. And right there, in the new room located at the top, you will find the Ornate Lockbox.
