Remnant 2, the sequel to 2019’s Remnant: From the Ashes, got its official launch on July 25, 2023. A long-awaited title from Gunfire Games, it’s now available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Windows. Like its predecessor, Remnant 2 comes bundled with lots of secrets and puzzles that can be hard to complete if you don’t know where to look. And there’s a secret weapon in particular called the Crescent Moon Bow that many are unable to find in the game.
Besides being known for its unique souls-like combat using guns, the Remnant series is also famous for its elaborate sets of puzzles and secrets. And this secret Crescent Moon Bow weapon has been a doozy for players. But by the end of this guide, you will have all the details you need to get this secret weapon in Remnant 2.
Remnant 2 Crescent Moon Bow (Secret Weapon): How to Craft it
Get the Dreamcatcher first
First of all, you can’t get the Crescent Moon Bow without one specific weapon: the Dreamcatcher. Players can obtain this melee weapon by going to the Asylum in Losomn. Once there, you will need to do is to find three Stone-Carved Dolls and a key (Soulkey Tribute). Here are the locations of those dolls and the key:
- One doll is located on the first floor
- Another doll is located in the courtyard
- The last doll is on the third floor
- The Soulkey Tribute can be obtained after defeating the Magister Dullain boss.
After finding all four items, go to the basement, and you will see a lady locked in the cell. Give the three stone-carved dolls to her, and then open her cell using the key you found. Inside the cell, you will receive the Nightweaver Stone Doll. Now comes the last step to getting the Dreamcatcher. All you need to do is take that Nightweaver Stone Doll to the Tormented Asylum dimension and place it in the cell full of webs. Doing so will get you the Dreamcatcher weapon.
Head to Nimue’s Retreat
Now that you have the Dreamcatcher, it is time to begin the quest for getting the Crescent Moon Bow. Equip your recently acquired Dreamcatcher and go to Nimue’s Retreat in Losomn. However, you can’t just go there at any time. In order to get the Crescent Moon Bow, players should visit the area when Nimue is asleep. Once there, you will see a blue band on her wrist. Grab the Dreamcatcher and execute a light attack on the blue band, resulting in the extraction of the Nimue’s Dream consumable. Use the consumable, and you will be teleported to a strange dimension (Retreat’s Horizon).
Get Anamy’s Echo
In this never-before-seen ancestral plane, start walking until you find a blue crystal. Pick it up, and you will receive the Anamy’s Echo material in your inventory. Now, go back and head straight to McCabe in Ward 13. There, provide him with the Anamy’s Echo, x7 Lumenite Crystal, and x1000 Scraps. This will help him craft the Crescent Moon weapon. Well, this weapon also comes with a Moonlight Barrage mod, which is used to empower the bow for about 15 seconds, along with arrows applying Moonlight for about three seconds. Hitting an enemy with the Moonlight Barrage mod active will result in the following:
- A Moon Essence will be deployed, which will return one arrow to the user.
- Users will be healed at 5% of maximum health.
- The user will be granted a 15% fire rate and reload speed for about five seconds.
- Basic shots will turn into Charged shots.
- Manually charging the shots will result in firing two arrows at once instead of one.
