For people who enjoy playing adventure/shooting RPG games, Remnant 2 is an absolute treat. The latest title from Gunfire Games came out recently, on July 25, 2023. This is the direct sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes and features similar in-game elements that players can explore. The game pits the players against brutal, monstrous creatures as they fight their way to survival. There are a bunch of in-game elements that the players can use to win these fights as well as simply for survival. These include different weapons, such as the Pulse Rifle, and character traits, such as the Barkskin trait. In this article, we’re going to take a look at one particular trait – namely the Blood Bond trait. If you want to know how to acquire the Blood Bond trait in Remnant 2, consider reading until the end.
Just like the first game in the series, Remnant 2 offers different character traits for multiple purposes. While a character trait like Barkskin is essential for defense, the Bloodstream trait helps the players heal faster from injuries sustained during fights. That said, the Blood Bond trait is a protective trait. If you own this trait, it will protect your character from damage sustained while summoning different archetypes. The summoned creature will absorb some of the damage, acting as a shield or protective gear for the players. Now that you know what the Blood Bond trait does, let’s now explore how you can get this trait in the game.
How to Get the Blood Bond Trait in Remnant 2?
The Blood Bond trait can be acquired by defeating a boss in Remnant 2. If you fight and defeat the Root Nexus boss in Yaesha, it will drop this character trait for you. Defeating the Root Nexus boss can be a little tricky, although it is not the toughest task in the game. The challenge, however, is that the boss can and will summon a swarm of enemies to attack you, which eventually prevents you from taking on the entity itself. However, these are not new enemies, and if you’ve roamed around Yaesha before, you’d already be accustomed to such fights. However, if you find yourself failing at this, we can help you with a little strategizing.
The first thing that you need to understand is that you cannot take on swarms of enemies in a closed space. Thus, always initiate the fight in an area where you can move freely. Next, you should really be aware of the enemy waves, and it’s advisable that you don’t fight them using melee weapons. Mid-range guns are the best option when the enemy waves hit. As soon as you finish off one wave of the enemies, start attacking the Root Nexus boss with melee weapons to deal high damage. Continue this step over and over again until the boss is finally defeated and you get the Blood Bond trait. Another piece of advice, you should really master the skill of dodging attacks, as it will be extremely helpful during this fight.
Once you defeat the boss, you will finally receive the much-coveted Blood Bond trait in Remnant 2. Along with this character trait, you’ll also receive 100 Scraps and the Hallowed Egg Amulet (found inside a tree). So, take on the mission, and you’ll come out stronger at the end of the fight.
