Five Nights At Freddy’s started the mascot horror trend back in 2014 and ever since then, mascot horror games have become one of the most popular video game horror genres. From Garten of Banban to Choo Choo Charles, there are a lot of fun and scary mascot horror games out there to enjoy. And among them also happens to be Mob Entertainment’s Poppy Playtime. Released on October 12, 2021, Poppy Playtime is a single-player free-to-play game with two DLCs so far. These DLCs are essentially a continuation of Poppy Playtime’s main story, with each major story part released as a chapter in the form of DLCs. And the latest one happens to be Chapter 3, which was just released on January 30, 2024. Chapter 3 was in development for quite a while, and its release was certainly something many fans had been waiting for a long time. The Steam version of the game alone saw a massive jump in player numbers, going from 1042 players on January 29, 2024, to a whopping 13,425 players when Chapter 3 was made available (data sourced from SteamDB). Suffice it to say, there’s a lot of excitement around new chapter releases. And now that Chapter 3 is already here, fans want to know when Chapter 4 arrives. Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Release Date: When it will be available
As of now, developer and publisher Mob Entertainment hasn’t shared any information or even made any announcement regarding the release date of Chapter 4 for Poppy Playtime. And it’s highly unlikely that the devs will announce a release date for Chapter 4 when Chapter 3 has just been released. Suffice it to say, fans will have to wait for a while before hearing anything related to Chapter 4’s release date.
Now, while there might not be anything official right now, we can always go the speculation route. Chapter 1: A Tight Squeeze was released back in October 2021; Chapter 2: Fly in a Web was released the next year in May 2022; and the latest, Chapter 3: Deep Sleep, just launched on January 30, 2024. While Chapters 1 and 2 didn’t have much release time between them, Chapter 3 had a significant gap. A 20-month-wide gap, to be exact. If the developers go by the same development time, then it’s likely that Chapter 4 will likely be playable by Q4 of 2025 or Q1 of 2026. But at the end of the day, all of this is nothing but conjecture.
